let’s all stand in descending order with mama
can’t stop thinking about victoria and how she’s just so princess coded (mine) (mckays too but mine). like fuck she’s so beautiful in pink and purple and her heart is so tender and pure and she’s so perfect actually she should give me a chance :[
When Hucklerobby get married, staff starts calling Dennis "Robby Junior". Robby dies inside a little every time a patient says he must be proud to have a son following his footsteps and he has to clarify that it's his husband, not his son.
dentos best friendism includes dennis genuinely ignoring and avoiding and, if he can get away with it, disrespecting langdon because dennis found out what langdon told trinity on their first day, and peak hucklerobby is robby thinking dennis is being petty to langdon for him and dennis, who doesn't know what happened between robby and langdon, is like, "should i be 😧"
anyway whitaker does not fuck with langdon EXCEPT when beautiful spectacular can-never-be-wrong dr. mel king is around because she is the only good thing about langdon
this is everything to meeee this is exactly how i want it to go down like all that tension, pulled taut and near-cinched tight, only for it to deflate when they finally talk because they have different bones to pick!!

thinking about the first night that dennis moved in with trinity. how he can see the way she is visibly uncomfortable that the only way he can think about diffusing the tension was by blurting out how he might have just had a sexual awakening that morning.
“…what.”
“no, okay, like, i know that sounds bad with what just happened and i panicked—i don’t know why i’m telling you this, really, but—do you remember dr. robby?”
trinity blinks at him. “are you seriously asking me if i remember dr. robby, the chief attending? that dr. robby? really, huckleblerry?”
he purses his lips, cheeks burning, but nods, anyway. might as well get the conversation moving, and give trinity something to distract her from her discomfort. sure, it’s by putting a spotlight on himself but—
she saved him. saw a piece in his puzzle and decided to still take him in; to give him somewhere to gather his bearings; to give him a home. dennis prides himself in having the ability to get people, and trinity is so kind and nice and good that dennis just. trusts her.
“he, uh, he did- he kept… manhandling? me? and i just. well you know, oh but maybe you don’t, but yeah i’m strong, gotta pull your own weight back home and all, and i didn’t know that being manhandled was…”
he tries to look for the word to properly describe what he felt because it wasn’t just hot and it wasn’t just sexy, but it was something fundamentally different. something near radical that the first time that robby stopped him in his tracks, tutting out those quiet ah-ah-ah, dennis felt his whole world implode into itself before spitting him back out as a man renewed.
“it was what?”
“it was… nice. i think.”
trinity breathes in deeply, her eyes shutting close as she does so. dennis is honestly waiting for her to pinch at the bridge of her nose because he realizes how ridiculous he sounds right now. but trinity’s shoulders begin to loosen up, her body hunching into itself as she sags back down on her side of the couch and, well, it’s worth it, dennis thinks—his stumbling confession, how the words fail him, the way this is the first time he’s confronting what he felt, all worth it.
she opens her eyes to meet his. “you’re so,” she pauses, huffing with mirth. “ridiculous, you know that?”
he rolls his eyes at her, feeling brave already, and she smacks him with the throw lightly.
she gives him the space; she doesn’t ask and doesn’t prod, waiting instead for dennis to realize what it was that he truly felt. and he does because everyday, in that ED, dennis finds that he can’t help but seek out robby. to feel his touch, to be in his presence. it’s almost reverence, he knows, but could anyone blame dennis? looking at robby as he is—who is so kind and gentle and tender, who always looks at dennis with crinkled eyes and a soft smile, who always dips his voice when he calls out for dennis—dennis thinks worshipping him isn’t even enough.
ah. he thinks. now he knows what to say to trin.
