I'm not sure if I seen any posts going around discussing the recent VERY DETAILED (and honestly kind of poetic in how vitriolic they are) AI generated spambots on AO3.
I feel like I just need to spread the word, because these guys are NASTY. But they aren't real! You can tell that by the fact that they don't mention a fandom, a character, or anything even remotely about the fic itself.
Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone gets one of these and it crushes them. Never stop writing. Writing and story telling is one of the oldest ways of connecting with other humans. It's a gift to this world. Keep writing!!!
My friend gets these all all the time. Never had to deal with it personally
Its extremely important for your wellbeing to have friends you can complain at about shows, movies or books you dont like without blasting them in public, but even more important is to have friends who say "you know you could just stop watching this. Im giving you permission to stop watching it"
For every good thing the pjo show does I also get reminded of a terrible choice they made so the dissapointment merging with the genuine things that I like kinda lefts me feeling like nothing
Sea of Monsters btw, so I don’t want to see ANYONE saying Percy shouldn’t know about the Great Prophecy this early when Annabeth inevitably tells him this season.
My take about percabeth is that yes it is "girl with abandonment issues"/"boy with loyalty as a fatal flaw" but I also think it's "boy that has never thought of anything for himself"/"girl who is ready with a powerpoint presentation of their future together"
Like, percy does not have any ambition. One of the first things he says about himself in tlt is that his life is "short and miserable". He has very low self steem and view of himself, and even though he has his mom, and friends, is not until he falls in love with annabeth that he gets an idea of what a future for himself would look like. The only times he imagines it is when thinking of annabeth. When rejecting inmortality, when in new rome and in the lete, when annabeth asks him what he wants to study. In tartarus, imagining marrying her and having children.
It might sound far fetched, but for most of the books he seems to be living his life as if just trying to survive day to day. He doesn't mind dying for the prophecy very much. Is only her voice that brings him out of the styx. Is only her that makes him want to look beyond what he is and makes him think of what he could be.
i’m sorry but “are you from tennessee because you’re the only ten i see” is funnier with literally any other location. bro are you from capetown because you’re the only cape i town. the only rhode i land. the only ant i arctica. are you from the great lakes region because you’re the only mich i gan. bro are you from the moon. because you’re the only mo i oon

Too much increase on the use of "dark Percy" these past few episodes…I need to inform the masses that "dark Percy" does NOT exist. Percy Jackson who’s FATAL flaw is loyalty however does exist. And there is a very big difference between those two.
When Percy told Annabeth "I would burn it [Olympus] all down“ he was telling her that IF he had to make the near impossible decision between saving her and Olympus, his decision would be saving her.
He’s not talking about burning it down out of hate for the gods or to show or prove something or to get into power or because he wants to. He’s talking about the fact that if he absolutely HAD TO with no other choice and no way of being able to save both her and Olympus, that he would do it but only out of NECESSITY to save her.
And that’s why his flaw is so fatal because even if he absolutely hates what he must do to save the people he’s loyal to he still does it. The fatality in his flaw lies both with the people his choice might affect and with himself because even if he knows how much he will hate himself for making a certain decision, if making that decision keeps Annabeth safe he will do it.
Percy is not careless, he doesn’t ignore the damage his choices will cause and most of all he doesn’t act out of hate. He acts out of love, he acts out of loyalty, he acts out of desperation to keep the ones he loves safe.
Same with the scene from the last episode where he gives Luke the fleece to heal Annabeth.
Percy giving Luke the fleece was an act of pure desperation. And it was a decision that Percy made not because he was okay with dooming camp or because he didn’t care but because if he didn’t he would let Annabeth die and here is where this impossible decision arrives and as he said he would he chose Annabeth.
And keep in mind that the nightmare he had about camp and about all of the campers laying dead on the floor happened literally just hours before so he knew exactly to what kind of damage he might cause with his decision and he is NOT okay with that!!!!!
You can literally see it in his face both right before and after he gives Luke the fleece, you can see him realizing how fatal his choice is going to be for the campers, for his relationship with Clarisse and Grover and for the Quest that Clarisse has. You can see it in his face and in his reaction after that he is anything but okay with making that decision!!! But you can also see in his face that he must make that decision!!! Because he literally cannot not make that decision, he is too loyal!!! AND THATS HIS FATAL FLAW!!!! THATS WHY ITS SO INCREDIBLY FATAL!!!!! AND WHY ITS A FLAW!!!
Anyways "dark Percy" doesn’t exist :p
I love percabeth's "NO DON'T TOUCH HER" scene as much as everyone else in the fandom but guys keep in mind that Percy would've given up fleece for Grover or Tyson or anyone else he loves because that's just who Percy is. His fatal flaw Loyalty comes from a place of love. A love so intense, his morality and rational thinking go down the drain in front of it. Yes he will move literal mountains for Annabeth. Yes she will become someone special to him in time. Yes he loves her with every inch of his being. But don't forget what makes percabeth so incredible, it's the fact that the love between them isn't only romantic or platonic. It's more. So much more that words can't describe. These scenes and moments are building a foundation for that. Remember that love is love before it's platonic or romantic. Love is love before it's labeled. Love is love before we add adjectives to it.
I love the jealous!Percy posts all over the fandom as much as everyone else but I think it's so interesting to also address that it's Luke that he's being jealous of.
Luke who has an deeper and older relationship with Annabeth, who literally called her his sister in s1. Its Luke, who was the first new demigod that became Percy's first friend and ally when he arrived to camp. Its Luke who betrayed not only him BUT Annabeth TOO. It's not romantic jealousy in the show it's more than that.
So yeah when he said "what are you doing?" he's really jealous but I think he also very angry. Because why is she talking with this man that betrayed his loyalty?
