In Celtic mythology, whenever a young baby passed away, it was said that God would drop daisies onto earth to assist the parents with their loss.

Obi-wan on Tatooine dreams of a field of daisies and sees little Anakin there.

I hate Obi-wan's words, "You were the chosen one [...]."

From Anakin's perspective, it must have been awful.

Anakin believes the Jedi were evil, that they used him only for his power, as if he were just their weapon. He wanted to believe Obi-wan was different, that he cared about him out of choice, not obligation. Anakin was certain Obi-wan wouldn't hurt him, until suddenly, this fight.

Obi-wan had maimed Anakin as much as possible, and his words were a reminder of why (according to Anakin) the Jedi kept him in the first place, and he hears them from the mouth of the person he considers a father.

Anakin is mentally unstable, and he hears this.

As much as I love Obi-wan, I just hate him in this scene. I understand why he's saying Obi-wan lost everything, but it was still honestly the worst thing he could have said.

And then he says that Anakin was his brother and he loved him, which makes it worse.

I truly believe Anakin knew Obi-wan cared for him, but Anakin was so insecure about that love, and suddenly Obi-wan, after mutilating Anakin and reminding him that most only wanted him for his power, claims he loved him like a brother.

I HATE THIS SCENE!

(I'm keeping in mind Obi-wan's feelings and why he says what he says in this scene, but here I'm mainly focusing on Anakin's perspective and what he feel, I'm writing this before someone starts explaining to me that Obi-wan said it because of something, as I say I'm looking at it from Anakin's perspective because he's my beloved baby)

It pisses me off when people write that Anidala is toxic and Anakin is toxic, but honestly, I don't think their relationship is toxic.

Dysfunctional, yes, but not toxic. But if someone is going to claim this relationship is toxic, they can't blame Anakin alone.

Yes, Anakin is jealous all the time and isn't normal but most of this stems from his traumas, which were never addressed, but Padmé agreed to this relationship, deciding that not only a relationship but even marriage to a mentally unstable 19-year-old who had just lost his mother and his arm was a good idea.

Let's be honest, Padmé saw what Anakin was like and still wanted to be with him (yes, the Stockholm syndrome exists, but Padmé isn't a victim of it).

So if people want to claim this relationship is toxic, they shouldn't blame only Anakin but they should blame Padmé either, or preferably neither.

(I love Padmé, this is not a hate speech towards her or anything, but I'm stating the fact that when a mentally ill 19-year-old confesses his love to you and you're 24, you probably don't agree to it, and if something happens, you're in a relationship, not marrying him right away)
