☀️♉ / 🌙♐ / ⬆️♍ || COMMS Open || If you're Dark-ship, Neutral, or some other bullshit, fuck off ||

Every month or so I get reminded of my favorite playthrough of Earthbound, and now I've finally given in and drew it again- 😔🫶✨ Lmao

I miss Earthbound so much sometimes, it's such a fantastic game- Highly recommend playing it !

Little Character guide / comparison here:

(This applies to all of the characters, but I just did a randomizer wheel when deciding who's who, and it gave me such a wonderful outcome- LMAO)

Ness: Donnie

It was honestly really fun to have Donnie be the main character for the playthrough ! I could see an interdimensional bee sending him on a life altering quest- I wonder what his internal world would look like? Maybe I should draw that- Also the whole path to Giygas / Giygas themselves feel like a Donnie antagonist to me, idk- Lmao

Paula: Casey

One of the best things to come out of the playthrough for me- Casey having psychic powers would've been the more entertaining thing to me if that had been canon ! 🗣️ / Also look how cute he is ! 🎀

Jeff: Mikey

I genuinely do think Mikey has a sense of intelligence that nobody else recognizes or appreciates far too often, but I also love the irony of Mikey being the intelligent character™ as opposed to Donnie- He made a bazooka all on his own ! :D Lmao

Poo: Karai

This one felt fitting to me mainly because Poo is such an overpowered character in the game imo- Like, they're crazy strong / have crazy strong PSI moves. So of course I enjoy Karai being incredibly badass in the videogame. 🗣️ (Also her leaving in the middle of the story just to return with a new PSI move also felt fitting- LMAO)

Thank you to everyone who joined the whiteboard as usual !! It was super fun ! ☺️✨

These are some doodles that are technically spoilers for Chapter 6 of, "Why You Gotta Act Like That?", which I've already started rewriting ! Hooray ! Hopefully I can get that up by (At the latest-) Monday ! 🗣️

HOBA NA!✨

YOOOO !!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️

This looks fantastic ! Thank you so much ! 😭✨

I made a special tag just for posts like this now ! :D

A Team or B Team? 🟦🟥 || 🟪🟧

(Scrapped DTIYS concept)

I loved this idea, but I felt it was a bit too busy for a DTIYS and I wanted my DTIYS to inclusive to everyone / not too challenging-! Don't worry though, I've already started another DTYIS that I think is more fitting ! ദ്ദി ≧؂ ⠈≦)

How do you feel about April x Karai?

Avatar

Mixed, honestly-!

The fanon content I've seen of them is really cute ! But then I get reminded of them canonically and how one sided it was from a writing point of view and I get pissed- Like, the writers gave April so many passes and Karai none and it pisses me off so bad. So then I start to think maybe I don't like them that much- 💀 /hj Lmao

In my toxic 2012 Apritello villain era- ✨ LMAO

Maybe I'll draw more of them arguing and getting on each other's nerves another time-! I was honestly just drawing what came to mind at first- As I've said in a previous post, The premise of this AU is that April finally caved into Donnie's harassment during their sophomore year (Yes, the Turtles / and other mutants like Mondo Gecko / go to high school in this AU because I feel like they should be allowed to- I love that the Mutant Mayhem Turtles get to have a more complex situation with the added in factor of juggling highschool and societal shit ! 🗣️) and agreed to date him for a few weeks. But then a few weeks turned into two years and now they're miserable and in their senior year of highschool. The reason why they don't break up is because they're both extremely prideful about the situation, feeling like if one of them breaks up before the other it'll be some form of admission- Donnie's resentful because April hasn't lived up to his unrealistic expectation in his head of what he thought the relationship would be like and what she would be like (Like a fucking prick- 💀), And April's resentful because she never wanted to date this guy in the first place and now she feels stuck in a relationship that she technically got herself into you but was hoping that he would bite the bullet first- Which In my opinion ties in the April's problem of not taking accountability for the role that she plays in a certain dynamics with people. 🙃

And of course because they're not good for each other, their eyes are going to wander other places and I'm just using this as an excuse to technically have Raphril and Jonatello be endgame but in a really complicated and confusing way-! 🫶 ❤️💛 / 🖤💜

I need more possessive Casey in my life- 🗣️

(Partly inspired by your recent update, @peachy-does-stuffs ! I still have to make fanart for that chapter- 😤👍✨)

Thank you for hosting @vylantrophi ! 🫶✨

(P.S., I'm sure you guys are already used to me being a fucking idiot by now, so I'm sorry about the typo in the the fourth image- Obviously, it was supposed to say, "Please don't get out of my face-" but I forgot "out" somehow. ✌️🙃)

Okay, so this is definitely a more legitimate vent post- You can ignore it or whatever, I honestly don't care. I just wanted a place to put my feelings. I'll most likely delete this later anyway.

I wish I had a place to go, honestly. Like somewhere to flee to when shit like this happens. I feel like I'm constantly made out to be the villain even though I'm the only one calling out this narcissistic asshole in our house. But if I so much as even broach the subject or insinuate having an actual conversation about this bullshit, it's like I've "crossed a line". Just because I don't want to "play nice" or placate this dick. I understand that we all have to share this space, but why does that mean looking the other way and allowing the stupid behavior to continue? If we all have to share this space, why can't we hold some form of an intervention and work on solutions? Oh right, we're not "allowed to talk about it" because that asshole will just get unreasonably defensive and aggressive- 🙃

It's so fucking stupid. But I don't want to leave because, A: Why the hell should I have to go?? We all collectively agree and acknowledge they're the issue- and B: Because I think leaving or "running away" will just make things worse,,

So it's like, "???". Like, I genuinely don't know what I'm meant to do in this situation. My last resort honestly is to just separate myself within the house literally. Treat my room like it's own little apartment and just self isolate I guess. I don't know,,

(I know it's silly to draw art with this, since I'm just going to delete this later- But it felt weird to post without an image attached, Idk. I also wanted it to be sort of relevant to my page while also not being super personal-? So I'm using 2012 Karai and Casey as outlets. Lmao

Update: I'm technically in a better place on this by now, but I'm choosing to post this anyway because I bottle shit in too much. I think I need to do this for me right now. 👍)

More commentary doodles ! 🗣️✨

I really wanted to draw more, like showing Karai in an astro suit and having her be in certain Space Arc locations like the Cosmic Ocean-! Maybe next time- 😭

But the hot topic of today for me is the hypocrisy with Raph and April when it comes to their vitriolic distrust of Karai with canon- I truly believe that if Karai was allowed to be a part of the Space Arc, this would have been a big "issue" within the group. However, I do feel like this would have been a really great opportunity to get Raph in April to get over that distrust-! Karai never got an opportunity to prove to them that she has changed because she either got kidnapped or mutated or forcibly mind controlled,, I feel like if they were actually allowed to be around her long enough to see that change, they wouldn't have had that annoying side-eye towards her all the time- 🙄 Lmao

Thinking about Karai being in the Space Arc though also makes me violently want to throw up from sadness- LMAO || Because imagine going from losing your sense of self because you got mutated and you're trying to become accustomed to your new mutated body, to being forcibly mind-controlled to the man who raised you and by the time you finally get that autonomy back, the Earth gets destroyed and now you're fighting aliens in Space-??? That would be disorienting, holy shit-

I don't know if you have already been asked this but what do you think is the worst episode of tmnt2012? (And why)

Avatar

I have answered this question !

I'll do something a little different this time and say what episode I felt was the worst for each character (I'm only doing the main ones- Sorry-!) ! :D

Leonardo: Season 2 Episodes 25-26, "The Invasion", but also Season 4 Episode 14, "Earth's Last Stand" || The reason why I pick these episodes is my least favorite or "worst" Leo episodes is because they genuinely made me angry with him- LMAO / I didn't agree with how he acted in any of these episodes, but I'm torn about whether or not I believe he fell out of character in these situations or if these are just valid character flaws from him-?? Cause I'm not saying Leo shouldn't have flaws, of course he should- I just found his actions distasteful in these particular episodes.

Raphael: Season 4 EP 17, "The Insecta Trifecta", but also Season 4 Episode 18, "Mutant Gangland" || The first episode is because I hate the way Raph's entomophobia feels so overplayed with his character in this particular version. A lot of Raph's more focused episodes feel like they have to involve bugs for some reason and I find that irritating- But I also felt like this episode wasn't the strongest one for him either. / The second episode felt like the biggest nothing burger of an episode to me- Like what even was, "Mutant Gangland"? In my personal opinion, the whole episode felt boring and I wasn't very attached to this plot line about Raph quitting the team (yet again) and having to apologize for blowing up (yet again), just to have a fight sequence with the Mutanimals against Don Visioso's goons that wasn't very engaging for me either- 💀

Donatello: Season 3 Episode 2, "A Foot Too Big", but also Season 3 Episode 22, "The Creeping Doom" || I don't think I have to really explain why, "A Foot Too Big" was one of Donnie's worst episodes (It's technically one of April's worst episodes as well, but since the episode focused on Donnie way more than it focus on her, I'm counting this as a Donnie episode-). 💀 / I really disliked, "The Creeping Doom" because of the whole narrative in general? Also the depiction of Donnie losing his intelligence felt offensive in nature?? Maybe that's just me, but it felt like they were implying something there with the hat and everything. I wouldn't put past these writers to be offensive like that.

Michelangelo: Season 2 Episode 5, 'Mikey Gets Shellacne", but Season 2 Episode 19, "Pizza Face", and also Season 3 Episode 4, "The Croaking" || "Mikey Gets Shellacne" just felt disrespectful to Mikey in general. I hate when they make him the butt of a joke in this version, in this episode took that very pet peeve and made it the focus for the entire runtime. 🙃 / "Pizza Face" isn't a very engaging episode for me. I often find myself checking out when re watching the series. It just wasn't a strong episode for Mikey in my opinion- / My dislike towards,"The Croaking'" has very little to do with Mikey and more to do with the entire narrative in general. By the end of the entire situation it, became less about appreciating Mikey and acknowledging that they were being assholes to him, and more about the Mutant Frogs while also having some kind of environmental statement-?? Even though that statement gets lost in everything else that's happening-?? I guess my issue is that for it being a mighty episode it didn't really feel like it was truly about him- 💀

Karai: Season 3 Episode 18, "The Deadly Venom" || My biggest great with this episode for Karai it's just how it continues to vilify her despite struggling with her recent mutation beforehand and being harassed well barely having her sense of self during the, "Return to New York City" Arc. These fuck ass writers writers are obsessed with making her the antagonist despite her being one of the biggest victims in the entire series. Leave her ALONE (Especially Leo, all his efforts to "care for her" and "help her" come off so creepy to me and like he's only doing this because an Alabama esque interest in her-).🗣️🗣️

April O'Neil: Season 3 episode 3, "Buried Secrets", but Season 4 Episode 22, "The Power Inside Her" || This was the hardest one, considering that I honestly could genuinely put all of her centric episodes here- but For the sake of keeping it brief, I only picked two-! LMAO / both of these episodes involve her being in situations where she either indirectly escalated the situation or actively was the issue in the situation but faced no real consequences by the end whatsoever. In fact, she was practically applauded and expressed gratitude by the end of both of these situations, which made no sense to me. These episodes remind me of how much the writers practically force every other character to kiss her ass and praise the ground that she walks on, therefore they're the worst ones to me. 👍

Casey Jones: Season 4 Episode 24, "The Tale Tigerclaw" || This is the only Casey episode that I actually hate with the passion, and it's mostly just because of how it's presented. They make Casey look terrible in this episode and I don't understand what the reason was for it-?? This episode physically makes me cringe, I'm not even kidding. Lmao

Master Splinter: Season 2 Episode 22, "Vengeance is Mine", Season 3 Episode 18, "The Deadly Venom", Season 3 Episode 23, "The Fourfold Trap", and Season 4 episode 20, "The Super Shredder" || I have the same problem with each one of these episodes in relation to Splinter, and that's that I wish he was more involved. Why was Leo the one to notice that Karai was sneaking off to take out Shredder and not him? In, "The Deadly Venom", why was Splinter stuck helping April fight the venom instead of trying to find his daughter who's being forcibly brain controlled? Why did Splinter's involvement in, "The Fourfold Trap" have to be at the very end When he could have been involved way sooner and he loses his daughter yet again? Why wasn't he allowed to go after her? Technically, yes, Splinter was more involved in, "The Super Shredder", but I didn't really like the execution. I wish they could have done the episode differently or something- I don't know. 💀

Shredder: Season 4 Episode 25, "Requiem ", and Season 4 Episode 26, "Owari" || These episodes feel like such a let down to the complexity of Shredder as an antagonist to me. They could've done so much more with him in the final episodes, but they didn't. They painted him as this "ruthless" "too far gone" sociopathic killing machine but it would be easier to remove his character that way rather than making his death feel harrowing and nuanced. Having Splinter in death reach out to Saki in his final moments and apologize for everything that he's been through,,?? To acknowledge that he was mentally and emotionally unwell and that came out in physical ways-? This man was broken,, He wasn't a monster entirely and I wish that could've been incorporated into his death,, I'm rambling, but I'm sure you get what I mean-! 😭👍

Alternate "Karai's Vendetta"-

Originally, this was going to be a 2012 Raphril video, but I never draw Karai and April as much + I love making little commentary doodles about their dynamic- So it became a Karai and April video instead ! ✌️✨

I wanted to add Raph telling Leo that April was also more successful with Karai because she wasn't a creep about it like him, but unfortunately I couldn't fit it in- 😔 Lmao
