Introduction v3

(I am not qualified to verify/vet Palestine gfm blogs. Please do not ask me to check them for you as I do not investigate them for possible scams as most are verified if you look around. I have a guide right here about things you could be checking. Also fundraisers are shared to my mutual aid account: @kyra45-helping-others . )

Hi! I’m Key (Or Jess from @shadowfoxsilver ) and this account is dedicated to busting scams and posting useful information regarding how to spot them and how to look out for them. All information gathered here comes from personal experiences or information compiled from posts I may have read with sources often given if possible.

All the work I do here is done for free; I do not charge for my efforts and I try to make it as understandable and accessible as possible though some guides turn out to be several paragraphs long. I try my best to show sources for why something is a scam or explain what makes it a scam. Sometimes I may make a mistake and when that happens I will try my best to correct it and inform others of the situation to the best of my ability.

Important things:

This is a scam busting blog dedicated to calling out scams. Fundraisers are shared to my fundraiser-based accounts. (Occasionally I will share my commissions info or kofi here). Comments on my posts promoting GFMs are removed in order to make it easier to see any scam-busting related updates or general feedback. Please use my askbox or DMs only.

I don’t mind if you tag me to share your fundraisers, but please be patient with me as I’m busy at the moment and work daily and they will be shared to my other fundraiser blogs.

If telling me a blog is a scammer, please provide information detailing why if possible.

Hi, i dont know if you have posted about this person yet, but @tiffanymaddox is running a job opening scam. they track the key words “work”, “hiring”, “jobs” and other related topics and bait vulnerable out of work users with a false job opportunity. i called and verified with the company she is claiming to hire for, the email she uses for contact is not standard and the business’s linkedin & website has no such position available.

hey, i don't know if you already talked about it, but there's this scam on discord. a mod account pings everyone with a malicious download link to a "game", there's a bunch of names but they often feature foxes for some reason?

last week a moderator on the pixel dailies discord server got hacked and spread the link 2 times, banning anyone warning against the scam/trying to ping remaining mods and adding words like malware to the word filter. the original person was reportedly DM'd the link via a hacked friend and it sounded believable enough. i think pseudoregalia's creator got hacked in the same way

just wanted to warn everyone to be careful and not click these links, and especially not download anything from them, and extra especially to not run anything downloaded. additionally avoid sharing passwords, so that if you do mess up the potential damage is reduced

Here's the previous post mentioned in this ask related to spacers.exe:

--- Long post incoming so I'll put the majority under a read more --

It sounds to me like this was intentional targeting of the mod(s) of the server to gain easy access to a server that has a lot of members to spread their spam/scam links. Which, unfortunately, is something that tends to happen.

The mod likely got fooled by a free nitro link, an I accidentally reported your account scam, or one of the many other types of discord scams that are floating around out there that can gain access to your account.

But yes! As you said:

  • Never share passwords with strangers.
  • Make sure you have 2FA enabled on your account (with backup codes!)
  • Never change your password/email if another user asks you to.
  • Never download random files if someone asks you to "download and try this out", especially if they say they are from a random game related server claiming to be a game developer or even your friend.
  • Never click on links that seem "off" or show no preview. If someone tells you to "check this out" and sends you a link, hover over it first as this can reveal if a malicious link has been hidden within it!

No one ‘accidentally’ reported you ignore that DM if someone sent you that and no one’s impersonating you that scammed them. Also that random account telling you to message them about something since they can’t DM you is going to tell you that too if you contact them. Also don’t contact that discord account they said to message that’s not tumblrs tech support. Your account isn’t getting deleted in 24hrs.

Bro’s friends will give him $300 to go to Texas while I haven’t even gotten a single vacation after mawmaw had a wreck a year ago. I can’t even afford going anywhere anymore nor do I have time to. I just go to work and that’s it.

Promise me that in 2026:

- You will not use gen-ai to ‘make’ your art better.

- You will get better at art by studying references and practicing.

- You will not feed ai your art or feed anyone else’s art into ai.

- You will not depend on ChatGPT to answer the most mundane questions you will ask a real person that question for an honest answer.

- You will not use gen-ai for references of things that already exist irl and can be easily found in official resources and documentation.

- You will not ask ChatGPT for medical advice that you could find by doing other things like going to the hospital when you feel like something is wrong

If you’re having a medical emergency please don’t ask ChatGPT what you should do. More so if it’s been 30 minutes. This random post comes from a random Facebook account that has college eduction and yet no common sense evidently!

(I cannot confirm if this is a true event, but it’s nonsensical that people are this dependent on AI that I’m sure some have been like this.)

Image text:

Well...ChatGPT kinda saved my life tonight. I took a hit of my vape then suddenly felt my heart fluttering which has happened before...I wasn't concerned but then my jaw felt tingly and my neck felt tight in front. Then I started to feel nauseous and short of breath and all those symptoms persisted for 30 minutes. I asked ChatGPT what I should do and it said call 911.

“I can’t draw good.” Well I couldn’t draw good either!

Apr 13, 2009 -> January 7, 2026

(MSPaint with wireless mouse -> My iPad but I’m not at home rn lol)

Point is, don’t stop drawing just because your art sucks.

For anyone who feels discouraged from art due to skill: I didn’t get good in a day.

Accidentally reported you’ scam

(‘Accidentally reported you’ scam)

So it’s just another day on tumblr when a beloved mutual suddenly DMs you (or a random stranger) claiming that someone impersonated you and has scammed them out of $900 be it art or crypto or because of content related to CP. They tell you they’ve accidentally reported you by mistake and that the only way to clear up this issue is to contact someone on discord. They even show a screenshot claiming your account was reported for fraudulent activity and action must be taken within 24hrs or else your blog will be terminated. You just need to contact the “official” report dispute discord account in a timely manner and clear everything up!

You panic! You don’t want to lose your blog so you immediately DM the discord account who begins asking you questions before ultimately asking you to change your email address to theirs so they can ‘fix’ the flag on your account. All is well, and you assume that the false report is going to be cleared up…Right?

Unfortunately no. That’s not what happens.

You get locked out of your account and now the scammer logs in as you and starts to send the same message to anyone and everyone they find. The same message that now you accidentally reported the receiver and you need them to contact the same discord account to repeat the same process over and over again and you yourself seem to have no way of accessing your blog to stop the phishing. But don’t fear! You can fix this! Just contact the real support email and let them know you’ve been hacked and give them any information they may ask to confirm your the real owner of the blog.

Here are things to keep in mind:

- There is no official report dispute discord account ran by tumblr that isn’t a thing and has never been.

- Any discord account claiming to an official tumblr report dispute staff account is a scammer.

- You do not need to ever contact Discord for a tumblr related issue no matter how official the screenshot looks.

- This scam can affect anyone, even your friends. Keep them informed and if you can contact them offsite to let them know they’ve been hacked please do so they can get their account back faster.

The Keyseeker!~

(Regular true form that isn’t mimicry. Enraged form still in the works but you can see some concept art!)

Mysterious vessel who answered the keys call long ago and now holds their powers alongside a strange radiant light simply called the ‘Keys Light’. While very intimidating to look at and often seen as a menace the Keyseeker is actually a total sweetheart once you can get to know them! Look past the cold, distant, and tough shell they have and you find a kind void creature who fell many of their siblings in the past in order to save them from a twisted variant of the keys light. This fact has often made it hard for them to trust anyone that’s related to them but they’ve learned to trust again and are gradually befriending others. They are seen as the heart of the keys and only appears as this if not possessed by The Keyweaver! Which admittedly is rare. But still. Sometimes they can be found as it! They named themselves based on the task they took on to save others from the keys call.

Their cloak is much too big for their relatively small body and they trip over it often. Sword is made of bone and is held close as all times by a tendril on their back. They can freely turn the cloak into a cape as well but it remains quite big and may drag behind them when they walk. Their hands end in small but sharp claws so they tend to poke things with their tendrils! These tendrils also can be used to annoy someone by grabbing them and shaking them around for amusement before setting them back down. Height wise The Keyseeker is just a bit shorter than The Pure Vessel but only by a smidge! They are also seen as the youngest vessel; The Keyseeker is still old but was the last to hatch in my stories! Unfortunately they still faced The Horrors.

Unfortunately The Keyseeker has quite the temper that they try their best to keep contained. When their anger bubbles out of control the weaver side of the Keys Light activates and the usual docile vessel transforms and lashes out in blind fury as their mask breaks in its weak spots and half of their usually harmless tendrils gain spikes. Their claws sharpen and their neck fluff tears and the cloak shortens making them scarily fast in movement! Fueled by sheer rage defeating them is the only way to snap them back to their senses and the breaks suddenly heal over just as fast despite the Keyseeker being unable to heal by themselves.

They speak via telepathy with a stern and serious tone at all times. This ability only works as long as they have the Keys Light contained. If they lose this light they lose all the abilities it has though the keys themselves do not use this light to grant The Keyseeker immense power.

The Keyseeker also has a mimicry form where they just look like a tiny vessel with glowing eyes.

Hey you. Yes you.

C’mere.

*throws you into the last game you played again*

Now with some adjustments based on how it went last time!

Yes Silksong counts for hollow knight. It’s called Hollow Knight Silksong. I see you HK players thinking it just means original HK. It also counts for Silksong. Get bugged. Go fight the sun or that other thing.
