Concept of an AU that I remember on occasion where the sages (+Link, Paya, and Hestu) are corrupted virtues. Its part of that fic prompt I did called Shark in the Well.
Sidon represents Lust. He's roughly 15 feet tall in this form but only 6'7 in his humanoid form. He grows strong attachments to people he loves (specifically Link in the AU) and gains strength from aiding them. He also has an ability to use solid surface like water, often diving in it to escape sight. He prefers lurking in cold dark waters though and is quite shy. Link is teaching him sign as he cant form words with his mouth as a beast. He's very smart though and has a great memory. His humanoid form (Sidney) doesn't remember his time as a beast though and can talk and express freely. Due to his loyalty for thoes he loves he's eventually able to thwart Ganondorf's influence. He's also aware that Link's flirting is just that, though he does hope for something more. Should he ever be released from the corruption, he'll be closer to canon design. Link represents Wrath. Unlike a good half of the virtues, Link (Paya and Hestu) have control over their corruption (excluding the blood moon) due to strict discipline and a slight presence of divine work. Their beast form gains six arms, discoloration of skin, and near white long hair. For some reason jewels often appear on them, though its likely just them showing off their control of malice, being able to make solid objects. They have a harder time controlling their bloodlust during wars and is thus often sent away during such. They are genderfluid but lean more towards she/them due to growing up as the Gerudo Chief's daughter. Their relationship with Sidney is more curiosity than anything, though they do flirt with him for fun and to give certain advantages. Sidney (the man) is more annoying though, but they eventually warm to him. They are also close with Paya.

They suggested this tutorial and I use their effects workflow, plus random experiments that I do on my own (mostly additional texture overlays and airbrush painting on screen/multiply).
