I've had this idea for a long time that Celeborn and Thranduil were very good friends (relatives?) and met from time to time under false pretenses (darling, Thranduil says his rangers noticed unusual activity near Dol Guldur, I think we should find out what's going on), but in fact they just arranged a Sindar drinking party in the forest with wine and crazy antics. And this is probably what the renaming of Mirkwood looked like after the Battle under the Trees.

Since I made the post about how it was gonna end soon that happened to get widely shared I thought I’d give it a send off post as well.
