i truly think that this recent trend of “if you relate to a post about a different identity than your own you are ~derailing~ and taking over the conversation” is incredibly harmful.

i recently experienced some pretty severe transphobic abuse in my workplace (children’s home) that included having food thrown at me, being called slurs, being told i was a pervert because i am trans. one of the managers talked with me afterwards and shared that he had had a similar experience as an Asian man. this wasn’t him derailing my experience, or talking over me, or making things about himself. he was communicating “hey, i know how it feels and how much it sucks. you’re not alone.”

THAT is what solidarity IS. i don’t know what it’s like to be Asian, he doesnt know what it’s like to be trans, but we both had a similar experience and we were able to turn a horrible experience into an opportunity for bonding and comfort.

stop looking at people’s attempts as solidarity as an attack. and hey, you never know - you could find an opportunity to grow closer to other people.

It seems we are staring this new year the same we did last. With a Black trans man found dead in New York. And like last time, no one on social media is talking about it, because we don't talk about dead trans men.

Danny Siplin was 33-years-old, he was a community builder, a dedicated son that drove his mother to work every morning, and he loved the snow.

He was found dead near his car on a bridge in Rochester. Police have alleged there was no foul play involved in his death, but details of his death have not been released to the public. The media reporting his death misgendered him on TV and in articles. He was described by his mother as someone who "give the shirt off [his] back,".

Sam Nordquist's body was found almost a year ago, also in New York, also after he had gone missing. Sam Nordquist was de-gendered by the New York Times, which initially had correctly referred to him as a trans man before changing the language to "person". Sam, a 24-year-old Black trans man, had been tortured and raped for three months before he was killed and his buddy dumped and dedicated. The media also failed him, not just by misgendered and de-gendering him but also by using photos of him pre-transition. Something that his Wikipedia page has also done.

He was described by his mother as someone who "give the shirt off his back,".

It has also been almost two years since the murder of TK Hill, a 35-year-old Black publicly transgender man, who was shot and killed in front of his home at the start of 2024. TK had been a community organizer and an LGBT salon owner. TK Hill was also described as someone who would "give the shirt off his back,".

As I mourn the death of Danny Siplin, I am still mourning the death of Sam Nordquist and TK Hill. I mourn the deaths of all trans men whose names go unspoken, whose names go erased, who have been defined as people who give and give and give - even when they had very little and faced such great and terrible adversity.

Since the ISFF clone mob has buried a lot of the evidence of exactly what she said and why people are mad about it under a mountain of tag spam, here's a recap, entirely with posts that I remember seeing myself on her blogs.

Here's a fine selection of the kinds of people she was reblogging from during her initial round of pedo apologism. Namely, pro contact pedophiles who *coincidentally* think its pretty fashy for kids to not be allowed to fuck them. Like, this is indefensible on its own. No matter how much she tried to pretty it up or claim she *really* only meant non-contact pedophiles, her digital footprint doesn't corroborate that. Theres a difference between trying to argue that pedophile doesn't *necessarily* equal sex offender, and trying to completely decouple the pedophilia from CSA.

Not to mention the whole history of NAMBLA and similar pedophile groups trying to co opt the queer rights movement as a way to claim legitimacy, but that could be its own entire post.

Here we have her after deleting Suggestrogen and remaking as Isuggestgirl, claiming that she isn't a fetish blog. In the same day she posted diaper porn and forcefem hypno scripts. Not to mention, you know, her entire deal being forcefem. No responsible kinkster, especially with a focus on consensual-non-consent kinks would lie like this. It takes the consenting part away, and suddenly you're just engaging in your kink with people who haven't given informed consent. It's predatory and it's wrong, and given her refusal to tag her kink posts or mark her blog as 18+, it paints a nasty picture in conjunction with the pedo apologia.

Oh yeah, and that time she was just real weird and gross about little alters. She tries to cover for it by saying it was a riff on the meme but, like, nothing about the "with mama" meme indicates pedophilic incest. That was all ISFF original. She can never admit to a joke being poorly considered or to making a mistake. She will only ever either double down on it, or try to hide that it ever existed (such as by deleting an entire blog because not as many people bought into the call for pedo defense as she thought)

Cherry on top, she's a transphobe. She just is. Characterizing all trans men as harassers who hurt transfems is just a plainly transphobic thing to do. It's unfair, untrue, and divisive. Gender essentialism doesn't suddenly become good because you make it trans inclusive. It will only ever harm the trans community.

Things that are transfeminism

  • Advocating for equality for transfems
  • Calling out terfs on their bullshit
  • Being involved in your local government and contacting your representatives to pressure them into not letting transphobic laws go into place
  • Protesting anti-trans laws
  • Making sure your transfem friends are safe
  • Donating to charities that help trans people
  • Uplifting POC transfem voices
  • Cutting off transphobes in your life and not humoring their bullshit
  • Encouraging your transfem friends to not feel pressured into falling into feminine stereotypes
  • Subsequently ALSO making sure your transfem friends know that being feminine and as girly as one can girl doesn't make them any less valuable in any way
  • Sharing resources that can help transfems with their transition or mental health
  • Loudly proudly loving your transfem friends

Things that are not transfeminism

  • Running a kink blog
  • Defending pedophiles
  • Hating men
  • Acting like no transfem can do any wrong ever
