Cringefart fallout sona/oc thing

the problem that manifests with the idea that the central theme of fallout is and always has been the evils of capitalism (other than the fact that it's an atextual interpretation) is that it centres tired, generic "capitalism will destroy the world" stuff that's been done a hundred times over. it brushes the unique commentary on americana, history, memory, midcentury nostalgia that fallout IS actually making aside in favor of something incredibly hackneyed.

im sorry but if you're complaining about seeing ocs in the tag for fallout, an RPG where you CREATE AN OC AS YOUR PLAYER CHARACTER TO ROLEPLAY IN SAID RPG then whatever youre dealing with is quite frankly terminal

I can only surmise this is due to the Fallout Television crowd following the tag and forgetting Fallout was a game first.

i have no ill will towards canon character x reader … but in a series like fallout i EXPECT there to be ocs!!! it’s literally an rpg… and if you’re only introduction to this series is through the show and to have gripes over seeing ocs in the tags on here and ao3??? well…
