The tragedy of losing a home, but the opportunity to build another. Home is, as they say, where the heart is.

I always wondered what Lucien may have felt when he reached the end of Elain’s bond, and what Elain may have meant when she said that all she needed was sunshine. A future built off of the backs of two people seemingly lost in this world who found their way to one another. (Ft. Grandpa’s sunshine)

“I just wanted to be yours, can I be yours?”

I always enjoy a solid angst, especially when said angst is so tangible in the subtext. Elain and Lucien will get their happily ever after, blah blah — proper name place name backstory stuff (tell me something I don’t know), but I really wanted to touch on the tension and yearning written into their narrative. I eat it up every single time.

I won this stunningly AMAZING art piece in a giveaway and I cannot be more pleased with the end product! My phone background, printed out and put on my shelf, and first in my camera roll to just stare at during various moments throughout the day. The usual.

… If only he’d stop disappearing during the lunch hour! For a male with such a renowned reputation as a rake, all of the single ladies at the office are feeling rather dejected. When asked what he does with his hour, he promptly answers with a knowing smirk, “I have to feed my cat.”

The Revival of Spring / Father Sun and Mother Earth

If inner magic reflects the soul, then theirs was always meant to be intertwined; the romanticism of it all leaves me almost breathless. At its rawest, most stripped-down essence, Elain and Lucien are the quiet embodiment of revival and resilience. Earth and light, twined around a single rib, simmering just beneath the surface, aching to break free.

This piece is meant to be an ode to a popular fan theory for their book. While Lucien is already stationed once more in the Spring Court, Elain has been likened to this place on multiple occasions and it would be so fitting to see her find herself there, one way or another. One night, after one too many glasses of faerie wine, they find themselves beneath the rising sun; two reluctant mates circling each other in the soft light of morning. There is nothing but the cracked tile of the past and the new growth of the future under their dancing feet. And truly, a stolen kiss, or two, has never set the world on fire in any way it did not need.

@lucienvanserraweek Day Two — Scars

The scars of the past pave the way for the future; the deeper they are, the farther the impact. Lucien’s scars are carved deeply, both over his skin and around his heart. I see him as a character that embraces his scars for the messages and stories they give him, despite the pain and anguish that was bestowed upon him. I see him becoming great, despite it all.
