Yk cosmine and everything got me thinking about how truly doomed by the narrative Nine is
The exact moment Sonic locked onto Nine in that subway it was over for him. I dare say it was even before that.
Like most people think that "doomed by the narrative" means a character that died after series of unfortunate events, but Nine is doomed by the very narrative of Sonic Prime.
That being Sonic broke his universe, shattering it into multiple worlds, and needing to fix it by putting it all back together and returning to his og world. Moral of the story being to never take your friends for granted.
Nine physically could never achieve a happy ending with that base idea or even a satisfying conclusion, as he wasnt even allowed to get what he wanted, let alone what he needed.
For one, Sonic would never get (or even want) to stay with him, Nine could never hide away in his own private desert to mess around in with joys because by the end it was not supposed to exist anymore, because after meeting Sonic he'd never ever be content in absolute isolation again, and his narrative role in making Sonic realize Blindly Assuming Things about his friends is Bad was fullfilled, he wasn't nescessary anymore.
Because Sonic needs Tails and Tails needs Sonic.
And the Sonic, the one that would bite and fight his way through an entire multiverse to get back to his little bro, was never meant for Nine, because he is not Tails, and yet he needs him all the same

Tails resembles white, as he is seen as the "good" version of Miles Prower. He's the selfless hero, saving people by Sonic's side, loved by everyone.
Nine resembles black, as he is seen as the "bad" version of Miles Prower. In people's eyes he's the villain, the traitor tearing worlds apart, hated by everyone.

third and last (for now) of my paleoart therapy pieces.
The sauropods in my artwork are inspired by Argentinosaurus. I imagine them as a migrating herd of dozens, if not hundreds, of individuals, reshaping entire ecosystems simply through their presence. Colossal giants, independent of other animals, unconcerned with anything else that might cross their path. So immense that to tiny flying reptiles and the earliest birds, they become part of the landscape rather than living creatures.

Birthday post!!! I’m 19 now :D
I’ve always felt positively about the canon design for the RainWings in WoF, but I wanted to put my own spin on it for this piece. I like the idea of basing RainWings off of tropical snakes and lizards, so for this particular dragon, I took inspiration from emerald tree boas (mostly because of those teeth)!
I think it ended up looking really cool! I like the pose I went with too. Definitely looking forward to drawing other RainWings and RainWing hybrids in the future. I’ve been itching to make a design based off of a ball python, but there are so many cool morphs to choose from that it’ll be hard to narrow it down. Maybe I could fit multiple in one piece?
