there are no art particles in this world. art is an activity humans made up to engage in, like sports or travel. it's an activity we apply as an extra layer on top of other activities like "speaking" or "depicting things". humans materially benefit from participating in an activity and from controlling who else can or can't participate. this is true of travel, speaking, art... everything.
