Hey I don't mean to quibble but quick question have they changed the age for prostate cancer screening recommendations in the past twelve years because the American Cancer Society recommends beginning at 40 MINIMUM and even that's only if you're super high risk (like, multiple close family members have had prostate cancer type of high risk). All other people are recommended to start around 45-50. Yet in 2014 at the tender age of 37 Gerard Way was claiming on Twitter that they were overdue for a prostate exam

Ok apparently some high risk people will begin exams in their late thirties to establish a baseline from which to compare later. Makes sense since miss girl used to smoke like a chimney and is probably at higher risk from that even without any possible genetic factors. It's not common to screen this early from what I understand but it does happen. Gerard from me to you I am wishing you the best in prostate health I hope your screenings continue to go smoothly 🙏
