not to be all like “hozier is the only valid straight man” but hozier is the only valid straight man. he doesn’t just love women, he’s in love with women. his songs are like embracing a lover after a long day, smelling her hair, playing with her hands, leaning into her touch. like having a picnic and admiring your lovers collarbones peaking out of her shirt, because they’re her and she’s so magnificently and otherworldly lovely because she’s her. she’s beautiful, smart, caring, and she loves you, out of all people. she loves you and the least you can do is love her the way she deserves.
