Summary: Both orphaned in 1981, Draco and Harry grow up together at Woldvale Orphanage. Despite the unequal treatment they receive, they quickly become inseparable-a first love threatened when Draco is taken away.

One of my favourite things about writing fanfiction is incorporating OCs, so seeing my babies: Maisie, Kaia, and Markus, from When We Were Angels, captured by the talented @kk1smet, really is the best gift ever! <3 Not to mention Harry and Draco in their little orphanage uniforms... and Durmstrang Draco! TT

I've been wanting to get back into writing in French for a long time, and I'm finally happy with this one-shot. It’s been a long process for such a short fic—a lot of overthinking and rewriting—but it felt so good to write in my native language. I know this French one-shot won't be very exciting for most of my Ao3 followers. I’m not yet sure whether I’ll translate it into English. I suppose it was just something I needed to do for myself. (First time writing a sad ending... omg.)
Now, I’m going to focus on what I think will be my last Drarry fic. I already have most of the story planned out, and I can’t wait to start writing it. (Don’t worry, it’ll be in English.) Lately, I’ve been feeling less motivated, so I’ve been trying to take time for myself and focus on my mental health. I’ve also realised that I’m not as invested in Harry Potter anymore, which is why I’ve decided to stop writing after this final project (unless I change my mind… you never know, lol) ---

an orphanage au that ripped my heart out.
i decided to try transparent film for the dust jacket bc i wanted a physical representation of harry and draco being separated, despite their promise. i don’t know if i’d use it again bc the ink rubbed off initially. i sealed it with mod podge and hope that will work long term.
i also experimented with different core sizes (2mm vs 3mm) and leaning towards 3mm now.
Oh my gosh, this is absolutely gorgeous! The paper cover? Harry being separated from Draco? I can't handle it! 😭😭😭

I'm currently writing two one-shots in French (which I may translate into English later). It's something I've wanted to do for a long time. I just missed writing in my native language so much, and I finally let myself do it, even though it might be disappointing for the readers who have subscribed to my account. They're both quite short and focus on depression (well… like all my fics anyway, lol lol).
Otherwise, I'm brainstorming and planning my new long fic (in English, don't worry). It's a bit hard to talk about because it's so early in the process… In short, Harry's near-death experience in the forest has led to strange phenomena that prevent him from living a normal life. Draco, on the other hand, owns a potion shop in Diagon Alley and lives a very normal, quiet life. And then… you'll see :)

If you had to make a drarry reading guide, what would be on it and why?

Oh man, I think I'm the worst person to ask. I haven't read enough fics to make a reading guide... I've never been much of a fanfic reader for various reasons, one of which is that my attention span when reading on screen is disastrous. I usually end up sticking to either one-shots or physical books (mostly physical books) 🫠 It's something I feel a bit awkward about because it makes it harder to connect with the Drarry community, but I also don't want to force myself. I've still read a few that I loved; I'm just veeeeeery slow, haha.
For e.g, I really liked Beholden by Faithwood, A Pulled Down Shade by Fastbrother, Nice Things by Adeomai, Plotty's one-shots—they're very funny and well-written. I also loved Writesbymiiso's depressing stories, and A Hop, a Skip and a Jump by RockingRobin.
This year, I'd also like to read some "classics," like Always Childish Things and It Was All Just a Game (which I started but, for some reason, never finished lol)
Anyway, that's a bit disappointing, sorry :')

Writing in your native language after years of writing in English is so bloody liberating... It's like meeting up with an old friend—the kind of friend where everything is so natural, where you're comfortable enough not to overthink what you say or don't say.
Don't get me wrong, I love writing in English, and I'm not going to stop. But I needed this little break to hang out with my bestie—French.
I don't have the materials to bind fics, but I'd never miss an opportunity to make a book cover, hehe. It's been a while since I drew in this style!
