Green Death. Remember the 1973 Dr Who serial of the same name? (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xs0wny_the-green-death-part1_fun) The Green Death looked a bit like this. Actually this is just a trick of the light - the sun somehow creating a green sheen on the Thames mud.
Barclaycard. This was the first credit card introduced in the UK, in 1966. The expiry date on this one is September 1973, which means it is almost 40 years old. Could it have been knocking about in the Thames for that long?
