so i binge read the witch hat atelier manga!! i love how it's sweet and cute and wholesome and nothing bad or distressing is going on!

See, I'm selfishly hoping we meet sabien in mighty nein animated for the sole purpose of him being bullied by literally every single member of the nein.

Like I need beau to face down Sabien and make that man cry because I know she can do it. She doesn't even need to physically assault him I have faith that by words alone she could make him suffer.

I need him to be left at the mercy of jester lavorre as she tattoos him with that googly eyed reminder of captain tusktooth.

I need caduceus clay to read his ass to filth in the most gentle, parental tone known to man.

I need him to be constantly intimidated by yasha's mere presence and on edge around nott in every single situation. Finding his things missing.

And Caleb to start honing his perfect "disappointed professor" energy.

Basically I need Sabian to be in a Marius situation during the avantika arc so insanely bad. Don't kill him, just make him suffer.

Commented that I "like the idea of eadwulf just staying at the blooming Grove to try and Woo a very disinterested, very aro/ace caduceus only to get dragged into yard work and essentially be adopted by the clays" and someone said "oh yeah, I can see Caduceus being demi for the right person".

Caduceus is aro/ace. He's not demi. He's not gray. He is fully aromantic and asexual as he himself outright states in Canon when people ask him if he's interested in relationships. He is a member of the queer community and his sexuality is not one we often see depicted in media, especially not one that comes along side a character who is given the emotional depth and complexity Caduceus has.

It's one thing for a popular headcanon to be a character on the ace spectrum and the fandom as a whole kind of forms their own ideas as to their identity because we aren't given more details. It is completely different when you are told what a character identifies as and choose to ignore it.

I love shipping. Most of my recent content has been fjorester related. I'm excited for Beauyasha and Shadowgast to get content in the animated show. To see Veth and Yeza interact. But I'll always be a little frustrated with people almost seeming to consider characters lesser if they can't have romantic connections. That you can't be queer unless you're in a relationship or that asexuality/aromanticism is somehow stealing potential from a character.

I'm not going to go into spaces and haggle shippers, fandom is for exploration. But I always feel it's a little distasteful to ignore a characters sexuality because you want them to be in a relationship, this goes for Lesbian, gay, and ace characters alike.

Fjord appreciation post. I tend to sometimes like the type of character that is non human or just partially human that has been discriminated against and had to handle something darker within and or without.

(That’s why I also like Hellboy and Abe Sapien.)
