of course dear anon!! (I'm just going to take this as an opportunity to talk about a random character since you didn't specifiy what you wanted to know about)
okay so to know who this character is we're gonna need a quick summary of the history of the Arumic Empire (where almost everything happens)
the AE used to be a colony of the Kingdom of Doas which was the most powerful nation by far back then (think British Empire), but in 908 they started rebelling and in 923 they were independent. from there on they became a superpower and stuff blah blah, while the KoD slowly crumbled and offically collapsed in 1020-
btw just now realizing this 97 years may seem pretty short for a very powerful country to collapse, but 1 year we're talking about here would be equivalent to 3 Earth years so it's closer to three centuries anygays moving on
-but the Daosi race still exists in the present day and most of them even live in the AE, though some people in the AE hate them because their ancestors were oppressive
enter Nadve Uyo, our lovely subject who I'm gonna be talking about today! Nadve's parents died during a raid in their hometown, where Arumic extremists killed around thirty Doasi people. this incident was widely condemned, the people responsible were publicly executed, and stricter laws to protect citizens regardless of race were implemented. however, because the Emperor still felt kind of responsible for letting it happen, he adopted Nadve - two years old at the time - because he was the only child who didn't have any direct family who could take him in and to show the people that he did care it was mostly a symbolic gesture at the time but he later came to truly care for Nadve he' actually a pretty good father atm
so yeah, that's how Nadve became the youngest child of the Emperor - also his full name became Nadve Uyo-Grasti (Grasti is the royal family name) - and everything was pretty perfect for a while (except that a few racist nobles thought he didn't deserve to be there but it's not like they'll try to murder him or anything right lmao)
BUT THEN Nadve went on a trip with his fancy private school class when he was a teen to The Acre (a military complex (gotta teach em to love the military young amirite)) and they were shown a bunch of stuff, including the workshop of the Arumic Army's most renounced weapons inventor, the legend, the one, the only: Norvax Lirodo (also Marlo Grasti's fiancé and thus Nadve's brother-in-law-to-be)
and you see Nadve and Norvax actually got along pretty nicely everyone thought, but then a bunch of things went wrong, a reactor blew up, and a bunch of people died including Nadve (MY POOR BABY WHYYYY). after a big investigation they found out the reactor Norvax had been showing to the kids was rigged to blow up, they found Norvax as the only logical suspect, and after a long trial he was declared guilty of mass murder and assassination and exiled (he was almost executed but the CCD found that exile would be more humiliating)
actually the people who rigged the reactor were the aforementioned group of nobles but they never got found out so ye pretty much everyone thinks Norvax did it and they didn't have a way to prove their own innocence :3
