i think about this tag by @boxofnothing like daily, it's just so funny
like there are a few hermits who cub acts a little different around compared to others. scar is obvious, everyone knows cub has a soft spot for scar and scar has a soft spot for cub. cleo is also one, cub tends to poke at her a lot and she will poke back at him but there's this like underlying understanding that cub is a little odd and not always quite aware of limits so they usually play along and it's like, sarcastically playful (which does sometimes fly over cub's head lol). and then there's jevin. there's just something about him that makes cub poke at him until jevin fucking beats his ass. it really is full ragebaiter mode. and cub will always do it again
speaking of dreams, yesterday i had one where cub came out as trans on stream as nonchalantly as he would about any of his hobbies, and then cubfan135-facts made a post like "cubfan135 fact#2483: cub is trans" and then everyone collectively went "oh wow! yeah that sounds about right" and everything went back to normal. world peace
anon this is so beautiful
cubfan135 fact #796:
Before becoming a full-time content creator, Cub worked an IT job where he helped people with things like computer repairs, installing operating systems, and other stuff like that.
one of my favorite things about cub's playing style and his content in general is how minecrafty it is. like yes, he's playing minecraft, of course it's minecrafty, but i find it cool how many of his builds are something you couldn't really think up without the context of minecraft if that makes sense? he rarely goes for aesthetics from real life (or from semi-realistic media like movies etc), instead opting for making the most out of all kinds of blocks and mechanics, always trying new stuff. while i do find creating realistic things in minecraft insanely impressive, there's just something special in how you couldn't just draw or build these things in another game because you wouldn't have the inspiration without minecraft. this of course goes for other hermits too who build and play like this, cub is just my main pov :) cub is in insidemc's new podcast episode, and in the episode he talks about how he finds keeping his content relatable to the average player important, and i think his building and playing styles play into that so well. he does things the average player could do too, keeping his content impressive by making everything Big and pushing the game to its limits within vanilla with stuff that everyone could do, fascinating us with dedication and fresh ideas. his style of content might not always be the most exciting, but it's so comfortable in a way, and it makes me happy to know it's something he actively tries to go for, prioritizing sharing his love for the game instead of prioritizing the youtube algorithm and stuff
i've recently started taking meds and as a side effect i've started remembering my dreams (before this i would remember my dreams like once a month if i got lucky) and last night i had a dream where someone was being homophobic towards bdubs i think? and etho just started violently beating that person up. and then i woke up?
