speaking of dreams, yesterday i had one where cub came out as trans on stream as nonchalantly as he would about any of his hobbies, and then cubfan135-facts made a post like "cubfan135 fact#2483: cub is trans" and then everyone collectively went "oh wow! yeah that sounds about right" and everything went back to normal. world peace

hi!! thank you for the ask :D cub changed his skin early season 8, more precisely near the end of june 2021, around the same time he did his channel rebrand

in his video he only briefly mentions that the new skin better represents how he looks in real life, but apparently he talked about it more on stream (which sadly is not available anymore nor are there any clips i could find), but there's this post that explains what he said during stream. basically, he felt that being perceived as old because of his skin was hurting his channel
before he started using his current skin, he briefly used another young skin that cleo and joe agreed looked like a teenage missionary while some fans compared him to an e-boy LOL
i think that's about it? there isn't really like any proper lore or anything, aside from brief off-hand jokes about stuff like finding the fountain of youth or things like that :P

he already had a lot on his plate with hermitcraft starting and mid-offs to train for and on stream he explained that he hasn't had much time to play as it's been a rough week and that he's playing with a heavy heart as he unfortunately had a family tragedy happen yesterday :( so let's all show some extra support with hc and mid-offs <3

he's not the most popular guy but i know a lot of people like him so i try my best to cubpost so people can see his silliness and awesomeness
do you remember if cub’s made any h*rry p*tter jokes/references in vaguely recent times? since they’re still rather popular amongst the hermits despite, y’know, the controversies (and obviously it doesn’t say much about their politics, it doesn’t mean they actually support jkr, it just rubs me the wrong way whenever it happens)
he doesn't reference harry potter or really go along with other people's references or jokes (skizz joked last month that cub must have a time turner to be able to get so much done and he just kinda laughed it off) and i don't recall any major references in the past either (like with builds or something, though i wasn't exactly paying attention to stuff like this much when watching past seasons and older videos) he's also ignoring comments saying ghastketball is more like quidditch than basketball but i'd imagine this mostly comes from the fact that he's a big basketball fan and was really excited to build a basketball-like game lol (i wish people acknowledged this more... looking at you hermitcraft recap...) he does generally make quite a lot of pop culture references i'd say, and whether it's because he doesn't care about harry potter or because he doesn't want to bring attention it, i'm glad he doesn't reference it :) hope this helps!
I saw a rumor that Cub gave Scar sculk to eat on stream. I´m too busy to watch the VOD(s) ;_; but I figured you might know something about it and maybe be able to point me at a timestamp? Pretty please?
i haven't been able to keep up with streams as much as i would like recently but i'm pretty sure it's just been cleo giving people sculk to eat! first happened with scar here (link should go to the right timestamp but if it doesn't, it's cleo's vod from the 9th of june at 42:25) and then also here (23rd of june, 19:11). he also proudly showed off his sculk eating to cub here (scar's vod from 10th of june, 2:39:04) and cub did not have much of a reaction to it (which is funny bc he's been really worried about cleo's sculk problem)
scar says sculk tastes chalky, cleo says it tastes lemony and cub says it tastes like chicken (which is conflicting bc i'm pretty sure he's said before he hasn't eaten sculk...)
according to cub, sculk is very low on nutrition and eating it is morally questionable as it consists of the souls of those who have passed
scar just tweeted about the event and one of the four images he picked is SPECIFICALLY cub's reveal during mystery hermit. He's out for convex fans' blood.
i saw!! he was so proud of being able to tell it was cub :D and i think it's silly that cub's small frustration over his attempt at the elytra course is what really gave him away for scar

hey, i was wondering, what do you use to record/clip the video bits you post? i would love to be able to make clips like that but i have no idea where to start
hi!! i mostly clip on pc and i use OBS for screen recording videos and stuff or twitch for stream clips (twitch finally allows downloading clips without having to use a separate site so that helps a lot) :D on phone i use my phone's screen recording tool and an app called youcut to crop/edit. i hope this helps!
heyyy i was wondering if you have any clips of cub being weird about hotguy/the hotguy poster? i know of two you've posted but i was wondering if that was more of a running gag than just a two-time goof or not. even if you remember there being other instances but don't have any clips/timestamps, that's fine too! i have yet to watch cub's s9 but thought you'd probably know ^^;
hello!!! i do have some stuff :D i'll try to put as much as i can here but there are probably little crumbs all over the place (some of which have probably been lost to time sadly)
there's also a clip i've posted of grian seeming a bit baffled by cub's hotguy exhibit here!

cub also signed up for scar's velocité lessons (which sadly didn't happen), made some questionable comments about scar's tcg cards ("there's no shirtless scar on the card though" "takes damage but looks good while taking it") and generally was quite infatuated by him every now and then
cub's hotguy obsession is definitely more of a running gag, even in s10 he says he put the star shape in scar's hotguy fire works "because hotguy is a star" and lets scar basically scam him lol :D i think most of all this comes from scar and cub just generally being silly about each other. cub is scar's yes-man and scar is cub's hypeman always and often the other way around too. i hope this helps!!!
