the forgotten boy
hey y'all! i'm in the trenches arranging Lost Elf for my choir and am considering writing lyrics >:) because i definitely need another big project at the moment >:)))
for Then'a i used kaijarayne's elvhen dictionary, but i'm looking for any other good ones. i know there are a few floating around out there, any faves?

we are doing it folks.
here's the menu theme for origins! the midi reader is so advanced that it doesn't know what to do with a mordent, gets confused by slurred quarter-eighths and sixteenths, and forgets that mp means kinda quiet and not ass-blastin loud, just like real people do!
seriously though even if you vote for something else i'd love recommendations, i have played so many games and loved so much of their soundtracks that my swiss cheese brain cannot possibly remember all the bangers i've experienced.
weird week. haven't been able to write for months. work is >:T stressed to fuck. but at least i can plink my lil notes on the bar and make it go aaaaaah
very WIP, no sopranos or dynamics yet. but i am proud of all the moving parts, they were hard to pick out under the screaming strings.
we'll fight like twenty armies and we won't give up.
put the anime elf back in an anime or so help me. this was one of the sets i had in mind a couple of months ago when i was like ‘eeehh can i justify buying an ipad’, and let me tell you i hit my procreate layer limit on that last shot (lineart, colour, two layers of combination shadow and highlight - one of which is animated - separate layer for tattoos so i could make them glow in after effects, thirty individual hand drawn frames). and then the movement still looks stiff, lmao. the number of hours that went into this is obscene, but i’m really proud of it.
@dragonagepolls please assist with my sample size?
very rough draft, but current arrangement i'm working on for my choir (about 1/3rd done). after this i might actually try to take a stab at lost elf >:)
the soloist line sounds clunky, but that's because the robot that translates the sheet music to audio doesn't know how to do rubato. or mordents.
You know what I think it's great that the only way to 'fail' in Veilguard is to not care. You only get the bad ending if you don't care enough to get to know your companions and see their personal quests through to the end. If you don't care enough to fix the Crossroads and to find all of Solas' memories in an attempt to understand him better. It's what Solas fails at, just caring for the world as it is and the people around him. A conscious choice he makes to harden his heart in pursuit of his goals. And it's what makes Rook truly different from him in a redeem ending. That they care so much they even cared about an enemy. A huge theme of this game is that you NEED to care; for the world and for people. Caring saves the world.
Dragon age: the Veilguard
What I imagine the cover of a comic about the Dreadwolf looks like.
