legend tells of a mysterious being called “nuance” that allows multiple things to be true at the same time. some say you can still hear its voice whispering in the trees
i love when sports announcers say shit like “this game is going to come down to whichever team makes plays” like thank you king what would we do without you
you guys HAVE to take “is dumb” off the end of your username. you have to take “my shit rambles” out of your talking tag. you have to stop apologizing for existing. I get so sad for every url I see like “[name]’s-stupid-reblogs” and every blog I open with a title like “pointless posts” and every opinion post I see tagged something derogatory by op!! speaking as someone whose post tag used to be “makes bad posts.” stop actively putting up roadblocks for yourself!! why do we always say bullying is bad but never when we’re bullying ourselves
everyone give it up for the best tag on this post
Crazy that sports RPF is becoming mainstream now…my culture is not your costume.
most of the time I don't notice any age difference in hockeyblr, it all feels like just a community of generally the same type of people. and then I read posts about wanting to fuck Connor Bedard and it's like jesus god I am so old
actually making a full post about it instead of just putting it in the tags.
if you've never done it before: try making gifs. work your way through tumblr tutorials, find a photoshop clone or crack the original, pirate the thing you're making a gif of, figure out how to color, how to sharpen, how to export, and then despair as you realise that your gif is way too big for tumblr's mb limit.
I mean this genuinely.
trying your hand at a creative process you do not understand or have simply never had much interest of your own in will do leagues to help you gain further insight in and appreciation for the craft, the artwork, and the people behind it.
this goes for everything; try drawing art. try writing fic. hell, try writing a fan song! you might be surprised by how hard it is – you might be surprised to find that you enjoy the challenge.
and this doesn't just apply to fandom: art as a whole is a labour of love. and once you see the labour behind the pieces of art you enjoy, you will feel the love instilled in them even more.
your team plays like ur coach uses chat gpt
if i was an athlete and nobody was writing about me fucking my teammates i would take it as a moral failure
also i jsut think if they're all collectively deciding the stars have been cut from the amazon show for being boring then nobody else is allowed to talk abt tharls55 ever again. get ur annoying ass claws out of him that was my guy first. ptooey. get out of my house
hockey players complimenting each other about looking huge/bulking up during the offseason feels similar to what it would sound like if bears could congratulate each other about preparing well for winter. like good job with the weight gain bro. that’ll increase your odds of survival for sure
the thing is I am pro-rpf on principle, but I do think you should keep it away from the actual people you're shipping. but it is NOT out of concern for their comfort (insert pete wentz bank account post), it's for the same reason that like animal behaviorists and field biologists and such try to stay out of view when they're observing animals in the wild. don't tip them off it's gonna to skew the results of my study.
people talk all the time about the pain of reading a great fic and then going to the authors page and its just twenty hockey rpf fics but we never talk about the joy this event causes as a hockey rpf enjoyer. i just read a wonderful fanfiction and upon looking at the authors page lo and behold my good friend sidney crosby is there waiting for me
anti rpf people are so funny they're always like "how would you feel if people shipped you with your friend" i don't know how to break it to you but if i was famous and no one was writing fanfiction about me i would be devastated. i wouldn't feel like i made it until i could search my name on ao3 and find 10k+ explicit results. peace and love though
before you vaguepost, THINK:
T- do i know what its about
H- are you going to tell me what its about
I- i want to know what its about
N- can you give me a little hint maybe
K- please i need to know
