The holidays are the magical time of year where you have to search the grocery stores for things you never normally buy.

I just realized that The Polar Express, (mainly the film but also kind of the book,) makes me feel the same way I do when I read Machiavelli; a.k.a weirded out and slightly uncomfortable for a completely unknown reason. Any ideas?
