As a person I’m generally very… unreacting? Not in an ‘I’m so cool way’ but just like generally I’ll be surprised and i won’t react or it takes me like 10 minutes to process it, so her overall personality just pissed me off.

It felt like the sunshine personality at 110% and it annoyed me to no end, because she wasn’t very fleshed out as a person and it just felt like bad 2012 humour with ‘everything’s great’ and i dislike the constant half full people most of the time.

In the Grandest Game though she felt so much more human, and while she retained that happy go lucky personality it felt normal, and I could grow to like her. Even if (as you pointed out) the 180* between her and Savannah is unrealistic.

okay moot I love I need to know your opinion on Lyra x Grayson. I personally hate it to no end (I could criticize it for like an hour) but I’m curious to hear what you (and other people) think.

I don’t understand her at all - that’s the problem T-T she’s so closed off even in her own POV, it’s like trying to ask a coconut to give you water without cracking it open.

so I can’t really like her if I don’t know her. (to be fair the only character I understood truly in the whole series was Eve … so)

I get some things … I just don’t … how did she get Grayson’s number?? Why didn’t she ask a different Hawthorne? If she can’t afford tuition how did she go to ballet for so long 🤨 …

she hasn’t been cracked open yet. I don’t want to see what makes her crack T-T

Look I didn’t read TBH and TGG properly and I always read before bed so I don’t remember anything I read.

Okay, i think this take is valid. She just felt… lackluster to me.

There were a lot of plot holes with her, and while i know she wasn’t, she felt like someone’s self insert Mary sue.

The whole scene at the start where she was ‘super smart’ was never mentioned again, then there was the phone thing, and her desperate for her family who wasn’t even mentioned beyond that much??

PLEASE don’t let me get started on how forced her romance with Gray was. One second she hated him and the next she was “oh wow I’m in love with him” + she was also blaming him for something he didn’t cause?? She felt like a horrible pick me. Honestly I don’t even care who Gray is shipped with as long as it ISNT her. They felt like the same person but one was mature and the other wasn’t.

Honestly I might be a bit biased as Rohans no1 fan, with Gigi not far behind him (i hated her in thb ☹️) but she still felt like a very 2D and unimportant character. I probably would only read the next installment because of Rohan or Gigi, but i won’t, especially not if she wins. My boy deserves that money.
