Has forsaken ties with Light "I refuse to bow down to the cowards who hide the second their precious sun disappears." Deimos is the son of Ansgar, the highly regarded elder of the clan. In spite of this, and the lofty position he earned by birth rite, he grew up bitter and secretly despised his home. He was born with eyes alight with knowledge and the pursuit of truth buried within him, but there was nothing more he hated than living in this enlightened world. Unlike Ansgar's other children, who were known to act proper and adored him, Deimos aimed all his distaste on his father. He knew Ansgar was once a denizen of Shadow, the neighboring rival flight, which he began to develop an interest in. He pressed his father for knowledge of the elusive members of Shadow, and their deity the Shadowbinder... His father refused to tell his son anything; he knew that feeding him any knowledge of his old home would lead him to wanting to leave Light. A son who abandoned his clan would cost Ansgar his pride. Frustrated with his father and the bright and cheery land around him, Deimos fled Light and entered into the Shadow domain. The tricksters regarded him curiously, as a dragon does not typically enter another flight's territory without an official escort to their new clan. Deimos' escape was short-lived, however, for in three days' time his father had sent a patrol to retrieve his treacherous son. In his short time with Shadow, he returned bitter, darker, and a trickster. Now, Deimos sulks in the shadows of the clan, watching over each dragon with ill-filled regard. He seeks escape from the bright and shining world to the land of the twilight, but for now, he bides his time... |
