Astraea is an incredibly standoffish and shy dragon- She finds her additional eyes brought her a lot of funny looks growing up, and she wanted nothing more than to disappear into herself. Her nervous mannerisms were only amplified by the sporadic visions she was plagued with throughout her youth. She is prone to severe panic attacks and often needs to sit alone to even begin to self-soothe. One of her more successful methods includes snuggling with her familiars, the second of the more successful strategies being snuggling with her husband, Morpheus.

STORY
Astraea is a self-proclaimed Midnight Siphoner. She has mastered the ability to focus her visions to a specific time and place- Namely at night, where she spends her time scrying them, trying desperately to piece the visions together, unsure of if they’re even from the timeline they’re presently in, a dream, or a fantasy from a hatchling’s storybook warped to look relevant to her friends and family. She finds it incredibly difficult to scry in a time and place that isn’t in the dark, her husband resting near her, but has been able to do it on occasion.
Being a Midnight Siphoner is an incredibly intensive job, if Astraea is to be believed, though she may be dramaticizing things in order to sway younger dragons away from wanting to be like her. Her life is a frightening one, and paired with her anxiety making it difficult to tell if she’s having a panic attack or a vision, it’s difficult to even be her friend. As such, she finds solace in her family and husband- Those who would understand how outright nightmarish it can be to be in her position from birth. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ |
