The Eurydice crew was losing their sense of time.
The darkness seemed to stretch on forever, the silver vessel the only beacon of light as she broke her way through the haze. The two captains sat on the deck, gazing at the sea with two mugs of beer. Llmabros raised one wing, sheltering the mirror from the growing sea wind that was howling into their faces.
“It should be dinner time now,” Kyrenia mumbled, sloshing her mug around with no intention of drinking it. “But honestly, it feels like it’s been night all along.”
Llambros said nothing, staring down into his cup with exhaustion. The excitement of the adventure was starting to wear off, and while being a captain sounded as cool as it could be, the workload that came with it was tiring. The golden liquid in the cup swayed with movements of the ship, its surface reflecting the nothingness of the skies above.
“…You should probably eat something sti — ”
He stopped abruptly, nearly throwing the mug out on impulse. The reflections on the beer had suddenly lit up, a distorted dot of cold blue staring at him on the surface of the rippling drink. The surroundings brightened suddenly as well, as he could now see his claws better. It all changed so fast, as if the Eurydice had stepped into a new realm of this ocean.
Half frozen, he slowly looked up.
A perfect round circle hung high up there, lulling alone in the night sky, radiating a soft pale blue aura that seemed to dispel the fog from its surroundings.
Viatieth — The blue moon.
Llmabros felt every scale on his body rise and prickle, as the full moon bathes him in its supposedly serene moonlight. To Minders, the sight of the blue moon on its own had always been a warning that the Starfall Isles were in grave danger. And though at the back of his mind he knew that this was natural here in the seas and that Sornieth was now peaceful, he couldn’t shake the uneasiness that was rising from his very own nature.
He heard Kyrenia a deep breath beside him, claws hovering over her weapon as she fought the urge to unsheath it immediately. She opened and closed her jaw a few times, tongue darting anxiously as she whispered a sudden realisation.
“…the moon crystals.”
The crystals that only grew under the light of the blue moon. And if they followed where this light was shining, at its brightest spot, perhaps…!
They needed to change course and track the moonlight. Perhaps angle their radars to that direction accordingly. It could possibly help them locate the area where the moon was able to focus on. With this new discovery they rushed back to reorganise the crew, but as they headed towards the bridge, the guardian couldn’t help but steal another glance to the moon behind.
And somehow, he felt that if the moon could smile, it was definitely grinning down on them right now.

Is The Moon…Watching?
The blue moon points towards the right path — only under its light would moon crystals grow. Reveal the location of the nearest moon crystal.
