What's This?
I enjoy February 29th a lot—It happens only once every 4 years! How cool is that?—so I'd like to do a mass hatch! I just want to give a bunch of dragons this ephemeral hatch date.
I'm prepping for this very,
very early because I want to see how many eggs I can amass by February 29th, 2028; my ideal goal is 1000 (over one egg per day!) but we'll see if I can actually get there or not.
This thread is mostly just to keep track of things for myself. Feel free to post here if you want, though!
How's This?
I'll probably rely mostly on my doodle thread/G&G for funds (the AH confuses me), and I'll be farming NotN for eggs to the best of my ability. As of writing this post, I'm not yet a high enough level in Baldwin to brew my own Bogsneak eggs, so I'll be brewing composite ingredients and transmuting in the meantime.
When the day finally comes, I'll hatch the eggs in batches of 10/20/30, depending on how many there are. I'll also create a thread in Dragons for Sale to keep track of the hatches; I
might look into pinging G1 hoarders too?
I probably won't have enough lair space for all the hatches, so I'll probably request someone—maybe even multiple someones?—to hold a few.
How Can I Help?
Donations aren't expected, but they're always appreciated! Even the slightest bit helps.
Donations
- Perhaps most obviously, you can donate eggs themselves. All manner of eggs count!
- You can also donate Baldwin materials, since I'm always running low on them. See this spreadsheet for a list of required materials.
- Once hatching begins, you can help by lending out lair space! If you'd like to do this, please provide proof that you have done similar lair-lending services before.
Transactions
- I won't be offended if you take this route instead! However, I also won't mark you as a donator.
- You can use eggs as payment in my doodle shop.
- If you're more into the UMA scene, I've got a shop for that too! You won't be able to pay in eggs, though—only gems (unless specified otherwise).

Subscribers will be pinged when the hatching begins, and then once every round as I make my way through the eggs.

Won an
Unhatched Nocturne Egg from Five Minute Auctions! It was my first time doing an auction, actually, and was much more fun than I expected. Also gained an
Unhatched Bogsneak Egg as commission payment, with more to come.
I keep forgetting to do my daily G&G, though, which is hurting my funds... ouch. I'll try to buy at least one egg per week? (Totals to at least 116 eggs by the end date if I don't miss any weeks.)
I'd like to do progress checks semi-regularly, but sometimes I forget (see above—there was a bit of a gap between the two eggs, but I compiled them into one post because the time's already passed). But even if I forget to record where they came from, I'll still add the eggs to the tally.

Also, if you would like to borrow a cauldron for brewing eggs when you have the mats, I will happily lend mine free of charge to help you achieve your goal

Looking into NotN egg prices: According to last year's data, eggs averaged around ~190g LAH during NotN (presumably around ~195kt). If I earn 475kt every week (maxing out G&G minus Roundsey tickets) every week until NotN begins (6 weeks), that's at least 14 eggs during NotN alone.
On a similar but unrelated note: I would prefer not to dip into my gem savings unless I'm at ≤400 eggs by NotN 2027, in which case I
might splurge on Noc eggs.

(I can even also brew the sulfurs for you too if needed)
Edit to add: I also highly recommend selling all your strange chests during NoTN. Stacks of 10 usually average 50g-70g and by bonding with all your familiars every day, you earn quite a few
I was able to buy 121 eggs that way in a single year (But it's totally possible to do more than that if you also have time to coli lolol)

I'll probably end up opening mine, personally, unless LAH is ≥20g per chest (referencing
BlurryReality's NotN guide and
this thread regarding whether to open or sell Strange Chests)! What can I say; I'm a born gambler. ^^
