Overview

[edit]

Mexico is a classic Search & Destroy map located within a deserted town in Mexico City. It is now a secret base where a bunch of missiles are stored in crates, which are the main targets for destruction by the incoming Black List operatives.

Story

[edit]

US Department of Defense has decided to develop a secret missile base in Mexico that is capable of shooting missiles into space. Terrorist organizations that have discovered these plans collected funds to hire Black List to destroy the secret missile base in Mexico.
The US Department of Defense soon learns of the terrorists' plot, but does not wish to formally intervene for fear of other nations discovering their base. To maintain plausible deniability, the Department of Defense hires Global Risk to prevent the terrorists from attacking the base…[1]

Version

[edit]
  • CFS: The map received improved textures quality on October 2016, alongside other main competitive maps(Ankara, Black Widow, Mexico, Port and Sub Base).
  • New Mexico: New Mexico, also called Mexico 2.0, is the visually upgraded version of Mexico for Search & Destroy. The map is still located in a deserted town in Mexico City, but now has some pretty notable additions to its layout; including new paths and minor changes to the bomb sites.[2]
    • New Mexico was released on April 16, 2024, and replaced the CFS version to become the official competition map in the second season of the 2025 CF League.

Figure 1 shows the changes in the top-down view of New Mexico. It can be seen that at the top of the image, an additional route has been added for CT to reach Site A, while in the middle-right section of the image, a new path has been introduced leading from Sewers to Site B.Figures 2 to 4 showcase the two newly added routes.
