Alright, this is a bit of a loaded question lol, but I can handle it.
Let’s see, well first of all being a ‘good person’ is very subjective even when talking within one own’s personal view of themselves. We always tend to judge ourselves less harshly (if at all) than we judge others because we are aware of our own intentions, but let’s say in this case that the term ‘good person’ is used in the most black and white version possible, one most people could agree on. Not the ‘I could be nicer, less lazy or less judgmental’ type of bad person.
Since you asked for my opinion on everybody as well I’ll go down the list most people are familiar with.
To start, I think Usagi does see herself as a good person. She’s more than aware of her own flaws and honestly most often does not put in the work to fix em, but overall I believe Usagi does very comfortably sit within her own set boundaries of what it means to be a good person. And Usagi does have that boundary in my eyes, it’s not that she doesn’t see bad people as bad people, but that she’s willing to believe people can change given the right circumstances.
Ami, she’s prob going to be the one most people will disagree with me on, but no, I don’t think Ami categorizes herself as a good person. In her eyes, she’s an overly flawed and often selfish person who does very publicly recognized good deeds. Those don’t reflect her persona and thus don’t make her a good person because it is almost expected of her. More than all the inners Ami has never wanted to do this and would likely stop helping others as Mercury if it wasn’t for the others girls.
Rei, hell yeah Rei sees herself as a good person. Not only she’s a good person, she’s the best person. Lol jk, but yeah Rei does see herself as a good person. Difficult (and well, morally grey decisions let’s be honest) decisions she has made in the past and will likely have to face in the future do not make her a bad person according to her. She has the sentiment that her, along with the others, are doing the best they can in the situations they are put in even if that isn’t always pretty. Nothing they have ever done and that she has ever done was ever made with any utterly malicious intent, self preservation is not a sin or even selfish for that matter.
Going to the one you originally asked about, Mako sees herself as a good person yes. My strongest reasoning is that there’s no universe where Makoto Kino would be happy living her own life considering herself not a positive influence under the eyes of her parents. She would move mountains to make sure they are proud of her, her actions, her persona and her impact on the people around her. Mako’s morality is the most black and white you could get across any of the senshi, it does sometimes come back to bite her in the ass but it never really wavers so much to the point she starts doubting if who she is and what she does is a net negative. I also do not see Mako having ANY problem killing bad people, she does not abide by the no killing rule. While their views on it vary, I do generally see all the senshi (except Usagi) being ‘ok’ with killing.
Minako is, well, the only one we have an actual canonical answer for, Mina has an extreme anxiety of failing to live up to the standards of what it means to be a good person. Is she a good person in her eyes? Yeah. She’s flawed, but everyone is. She’s selfish and sometimes mean, but again everyone is. She has made multiple unthinkable sacrifices to ensure the goodness and wellbeing of the people around her, even the less deserving ones, to hell anyone tell her she’s not a good person. It does run deeper than that and her anxiety is obviously not spurred from just anything. There is a thick layer of self doubt and fear underneath all of her confidence, so strong to send her into a delirium which almost costed her life just to prove to everyone around her that she is indeed a good person.
Haruka.. what’s like the option under bad person? Like the worst person, ever, to walk this green Earth and the universe? I think that’s about low enough. Yeah, even from canon we can see Haruka has a really low view of herself, very easily tethering on self hatred. Her own self value purely based on the good she can serve to others. I believe Haruka desperately wants to be a good person, to do good and be good, but most often that good would just be giving people a world where she’s not in it. It’s dark and I do believe the circumstances around S have shaped her to be probably the most self hating version of herself there could be. (in canon I mean. Trust me, it can always get uglier) All this to say, no Haruka does not see herself as a good person and I don’t think she ever could unless she gets some serious help, because it’s HER.
No, I don’t believe Michiru sees herself as a good person, but she’s not crying about it. The world is not black and white, it is but an expansive canvas of varying tones of grey. That’s not to say I think Michiru sees herself as a overtly malicious person, she doesn’t go around killing innocent people for fun, but she’s also not afraid of enacting less ‘heroic deeds’ as some might say. She’s not a hero, she’s simply a woman who happened to receive the uniform, she doesn’t owe the universe her life cause of it as well as she doesn’t owe people her blood, sweat and tears for a fight that could as well be endless. Obviously she’s at her most selfish when Haruka is involved in anything, but depending on the context I could see her working around that as well. I can see her trying to do ‘better’ out of her own volition, but as she stands right now I just don’t see her believing that she could ever be a good person.
