I was just about to subscribe to a plan and was prompted to submit a copy of my passport before I even published the company page!
After submitting my passport and a selfie to verify that it's me, our organization profile was shut down without any reasoning except for "Sorry, your account is not approved."

Unfair Suspension, Complete Data Loss — A Warning to Future Users
We were paying customers of JOIN.com, and the experience has been deeply frustrating. We invested hours configuring their system to match our needs, built up a candidate pipeline and talent pool — all of it was lost when they suspended our account without warning.
What went wrong:
* Our account was suspended without any prior notification of a breach.
* JOIN.com refused to specify what term we had allegedly violated, even though their own contract states that paying customers should receive notice and the chance to resolve issues.
* We lost all our data — candidate applications, talent pool, and system setup. That work was irreplaceable.
* JOIN.com kept our money even though we were locked out for the remainder of the paid period.
* Customer support was vague, dismissive, and repeatedly pointed only to the Terms & Conditions instead of providing real answers.
Advice to others:
If you are considering JOIN.com, make sure you have independent backups of everything. Do not rely on them to treat you fairly. Their communication is minimal, their support unhelpful, and you risk losing your data, your candidates, and your money.

For transparency: in limited cases (e.g., suspected abuse or policy breaches), our policies allow account suspension without prior notice, and refund eligibility depends on the circumstances and our Terms. That’s not a judgement on your specific situation, it’s simply how our platform handles risk and compliance, and we’ll investigate your case on its own facts.
We also review accounts that may redirect candidates off-platform or build external talent pools, which can trigger compliance actions. Again, that’s general context. We’ll verify whether any such flags applied here.

This doesn't help job search at all
I haven't had a good experience with this platform. I've clicked "quick application" on several job postings on platforms like Xing and then I received an email to complete my application by clicking on the link, but the link was expired every time. And that happened with different job applications and with different browsers. I've sent an email to the costumer support but no answer yet.
Then I decided to check out the join.com website, so that way maybe I could proceed with my applications. I tried to create an account with my email and it gave me an error, then I was able to enter in "my account". It didn't require me a password or anything and I already had a profile created with my CV uploaded. Maybe my memory is failing me, but I swear I had never created an account before, especially because that account didn't even have a defined password and I always save my created passwords in my browser and I didn't have any for join.com.
Then I had several jobs applications that were incomplete and rejected, and once again, I swear that I didn't apply to some of those. But again, maybe my memory is failing. I believe that join.com got a hold of my CV and email and created an automatic account for this data so I could apply more easily to jobs. But I think that is a great data security issue, especially when I didn't even need a password to enter in my profile. Also I checked some of those job postings in the employer's website and they were not there, which could corroborate what people have been saying about fake job postings.
I've seen some positive reviews from employers, but this platform seems to be horrible for people that are applying to jobs and employers should take that into account instead of just thinking about themselves.
This platform seems like a scam and is making a process that is already very stressful even more stressful.

Scammed Through this Site
This fancy looking job board site with a very credible looking job ad for a legit company just allowed a scammer to get me to install a "custom video calling software" to set up interview times. Beware when the "recruiter" messages you to email them outside of the current job platform. Their legit looking work email will then ask you to look up a video calling platform that's unheard of complete with a convincing website that somehow only has the Windows desktop version working while MacOS, iPhone and Android app version are not working/coming soon(We know why. Easier to hack on Windows). The 1 Star is because Join.com is not allowing me to report this scammer. Site is giving me an error message.

Dangerous scam
I applied on LinkedIn for a job that was advertised there and was redirected to join.com. I was then contacted by Albert Russell through Join, on behalf of company that is legit, it even had a legit logo in their profile. I contacted this company through email and they confirmed someone is impersonating them and sending fake job offers. Albert Russell asked to download software for video calls so we could do the interview. The website was full of malicious viruses. It looks like Join doesn't verify these employee profiles and may not even care.

Poor system, waste of money
1- The system is clunky and doesn't let candidates attach documents once they applied
2- The advertising - pay as you click system advertises on boards that have no relevance to the job posting
3- The paid advertising on Linkedin returns very few results over 14 days (5) whereas posting directly on LinkedIn returns 11 in 1 day.

2. Pay-per-click distribution: Our performance-based model is designed to maximize visibility by distributing your job ad across a wide network of job boards and partner platforms. The relevance and impact of these channels can vary based on job type, location, and current market demand. We’re constantly working to refine targeting and improve results.
3. LinkedIn performance: We understand that application numbers are important. However, the performance of a job ad on LinkedIn depends on many factors — including job title, industry, timing, competition, and how LinkedIn’s internal algorithm distributes ads.
We’re more than happy to help optimize your campaigns to improve reach and performance. Still, the number and timing of applications on LinkedIn are ultimately determined by their internal processes, which we cannot directly control.

Employers should avoid. Terrible customer service
Appalling customer service. We're an early stage start up. We posted two roles on join.com after the platform was recommended by our investors. Shortly after creating our account, it was arbitrarily suspended because our website domain does not match our email domain. We explained that we use separate domains by choice and that it was an urgent priority for our boards to be reinstated. Responses from customer service were slow, rude, and unhelpful. Our customer "care" manager, Leon, provided information directly contrary to the automated emails we had received from the site. We did exactly what we were asked and the account was still not reinstated. When we provided extensive information about every aspect of the business, Leon stopped responding.

I applied for a position with a company on Join.com named Dryad Construction for the Remote - Data Entry Clerk / Administrative Assistant / Customer Service position. I received an email from 'grace' @ dryadsconstructionllc.com' for a 'job offer/interview'. When I went to the website for Dryad Construction, I noticed there wasn't an 's' on the end for the actual company. This is definitely a scam and worse, Join.com has no accountability nor accessibility to complain. The 'chat with us' button doesn't work. Feel the scammers picked this website knowing it would be highly unlikely to ever be held accountable. Delete all information and resume from this website!
