Very sad to see my all time favourite soap ruined
I have used simple soap for around fifteen years Firstly Inwas puzzled at the concave shape secondly what on earth have you done to it this always stayed solid until almost finished,it now turns to slime that slips from your hand it is awful.
Why would you do this to a perfect product??
Soap Product shrinking in Size
My wife came home with a bar of Simple soap today and it has shrunk quite substantially. The bottom of the bar is hollowed out, almost like the bottom of a wine bottle. This shrinkflation method is used to get the customer to pay more for less, without apparently and change in price. Scandalous!! I'll be boycotting them from now on.

Bought the instant glow cleansing wipes and my eyes were so sore and itchy! Really not ‘simple’ in terms of ingredients, just another clever marketing ploy (check the ingredients out in Yuka) - won’t be using again.
Misleading labelling and not alcohol free
I am very disappointed to have bought a product that is labelled as "alcohol free" only to discover it actually contains three different alcohols:
Panthenol ~ most definitely an alcohol, but it's apparently acceptable because it is gentle and skin friendly. It's definitely not gentle and skin friendly on my skin!
Propylene glycol ~ again, definitely a type of synthetic alcohol, but hey, it's okay to claim the product is alcohol free because propylene glycol is not the same alcohol as an alcoholic beverage! Neither is the hand gel we all used during the Covid epidemic, but we didn't wash our faces with it just because it's not an alcoholic beverage!
Phenoxyethanol ~ another alcohol that is commonly used by the cosmetics industry because it's an ether alcohol and not the same as ethanol!
To be absolutely fair to Simple, all of these alcohols are commonly used within the cosmetics industry and they can legally claim the product to be "alcohol free".
I just wanted a genuinely alcohol free product and I am really disappointed that Simple, who claim to care about those of us with sensitive skin, would label a product in such a misleading manner.
Mental note to self......take my reading glasses out shopping with me next time!
Simple skincare is simply wonderful
I’ve not been using Simple skincare for too long. I only use the liquid soap, serum and moisturiser. I suffer with extreme dry skin and eczema. My skin feels amazing and did from literally the first use. I love this stuff and the fact that it’s cruelty free is massively important to me. I can only speak from my own experience. The products are very affordable, easy to get and simply wonderful.
Simple added Sodium Lauryl Sulfate to…
Simple added Sodium Lauryl Sulfate to their shampoo, a foaming agent known to irritate skin.
For over 20 years I've used simple products, I will NEVER use them again, adding this product to their shampoo caused the worst possible reaction, spots all over my head and face and IN MY EARS. Basically everywhere the shampoo touched!
I didn't realise they had added it, I used to buy a pack of 10 shampoos and conditioners, so was awhile before I knew what had been added.
Sad day when a company puts foam over sensitivity. Because that is ALL this stuff does, makes it foam more.
Amazing !!
Been using your face wash for a months now and realised how good it was at calming my flare ups of rosacea so bought the face cream , masks , serum the lot . My skin is in the best condition it has been in a long time .
I am 42 and it has also helped with the skin around my eyes that was starting to show the signs of aging .
Love all the products iv tried so far and will be using simple for as long as you have the products available . Amazing !
I have used simple soap for years
I have used simple soap for years . Since changing the formulation it’s turned into a bar of mush only for the fact I can only use fragrance free I would not waste my money on it .it disintegrates while it lies in soap dish . Absolutely rubbish would not recommend it,

Simple Age Resisting Facial Wash is SLIMY…
Simple Age Resisting Facial Wash is disgustingly SLIMY and if you stand it up it all seeps into the lid so you have to be careful how you open it. Won't buy it again.
New size soap becomes a ball of mush
The new reduced size bar is blatant shrinkflation. The bar is hard to hold and quickly becomes a ball of mush. Simple, you have got this very wrong. I am now looking for an alternative. I have three bars left in the pack - that wont last 5 minutes. Very disappointed
Harmed my skin
I have used Simple products for probably over 20 years. I’ve used the Age Resisting Face Wash before and repurchased recently. What on earth have you done to it??
I’ve had burning skin round my eyes, dry scaly patches all over my face. I feel like I’ve aged in over a week as my skin feels so awful, dry and tight to the point my skin is peeling. . Cannot risk this happening again so will never buy Simple products again.
Simply awful …
I will never buy any of simple face products every again!!! I have sensitive skin and normally just use cold water and a cotton flannel on my face but thought I'd try the simple range worst mistake I made 💯 the first time I used them at the night time I woke in the morning to find swollen red eyes my face was stinging and swollen red blotches all over and red blisters around my eyes 2 weeks on and still not cleared up yet to which I have a doctors appointment the words Simply don't use these products.
Simple shampoo is now a bit caustic
I understand that Simple has now added cocamidopropyl betaine to the ingredients in its shampoo. This is a well known allergen and can result in eczema developing. I am extremely disappointed that Unilever (who own the Simple brand) should still be claiming that their shampoo is gentle - it is not.
Every other skincare I have tried has…
Every other skincare I have tried has made my skin worse. Simple has been amazing. I have tried expensive brands and simple works for me better than all of these other brands. I cleanse tone and moisturise with their products, skin feels amazing after a few weeks, so far I can not fault it . Price is absolutely fantastic. Never expected it to work with it being so affordable, but it does work
Shaped to break in two
It is cunningly manufactured with a hollow in the middle of the bar. This ensures that it breaks in half long before it should. And once it does break in half, it soon becomes unuseable -
Their active skin barrier cleanser and…
Their active skin barrier cleanser and cream is amazing. It renews my skin and my skin feels so soft after 15 days of using. My skin barrier is damaged. But their products just turned the game. Fantastic
Great budget skin care brand
Great budget skin care brand! They use a lot of good ingredients. To all those who wrote reviews upset that they use an ingredient that they’re allergic too that’s your own fault for not reading the label before buying.
To everyone who doesn’t have an allergic to an ingredient they use, this is a great option for buying products with ingredients that other brands charge way more for.
Disappointed
Realised it's the Simple products that are making my skin dry stingy and sore. Just out of curiosity i came online to see if anyone else was having similar experiences and yes they are! Such a disappointment particularly as it has always been a reliable brand and I bought in bulk!
It's incredibly disappointing when a…
It's incredibly disappointing when a product that's been a staple for so long suddenly changes, especially when it's for the worse. It feels like a betrayal of trust, and it's understandable to feel frustrated and let down. It's unfortunate when companies prioritize profit over maintaining the quality that customers have come to rely on. If anyone knows of an alternative please advise.
