Great experience with RentSpree. This was my first time using it as a screening tool, and I was pleasantly surprised by how simple and seamless the process was. The platform made tenant screening fast, easy, and very efficient. The reports were clear and easy to read, communication was excellent, and I loved the real-time notifications at each stage of the application. Overall, a very smooth and stress-free experience. Highly recommend.

RentSpree’s tenant screening shouldn't be used for everyone.
RentSpree does not clearly disclose upfront that it uses a renter-specific TransUnion score that differ dramatically from standard consumer credit scores, nor does it explain how lack of rental history can severely depress the score. This information is material and should be disclosed before consumers pay and submit applications. This process is especially harmful to disaster survivors, long-time homeowners, and anyone without recent rental history. RentSpree profits from a screening product that lacks transparency and meaningful consumer safeguards. Lazy brokers use it.

RentSpree provides access to TransUnion screening reports through our platform; however, the consumer report and ResidentScore are fully generated and maintained by TransUnion. RentSpree does not create, calculate, or have the ability to modify or override the information or scores contained in those reports.
If an applicant believes that any information in their TransUnion consumer report may be inaccurate, they have the right to contact TransUnion directly to request a review. In the meantime, RentSpree is here to help—whether that’s explaining how the screening process works, walking through the contents of a report, or sharing guidance on possible next steps. We’re committed to supporting you as best we can during this challenging time.
