Today, 29 October 2025, at 4:34 pm, at ALDI Rompertpassage 48 in 's-Hertogenbosch, I did some shopping at Aldi with my daughter. When I arrived at the counter, the cashier started acting weird and entitled.
At the counter, she told me I can't buy energy drinks. She started insulting my daughter, calling her a male name. You need to show ID to buy energy drinks. told her the drinks are for me, not my daughter; that she called her male, which is very insulting; and that she has no respect and is not professional, so she called a staff member to ask about the ID matter and told her these drinks are for me, not for my daughter. She started to push it. Remember, she is just a new worker. Train them better before they act like this to customers. She is very rude and disrespectful. Also, she stops a customer to check her bag in front of me. Are customers of Aldi thieves now? I told her about it. You can't stop people if you have no proof of stealing anything. She checked her bag in front of me. Very unprofessional. This is my complaint about Aldi. told her this is not the correct way; she told me her boss told them she needed to check bags and ask for ID, Aldi rules. If you want to buy energy drinks, the other worker who she called was very professional and handled it in the correct way. She called for help training them like her; you will not have problems.
It's not have the biggest variety but you ll find few products in very good price and a lot of offers, also the employees are good and help you,the only disadvantage is that they should protect better some foods, like the pies and bread. Its worth a visit, I find there some very tasty goodies in very low price
Your decisions are sad, I consider them xenophobic, because a friend who applied with me, Dutch and with less qualifications, was accepted, yes, racism is what you practice
Aldi Mijdrecht.Very bad customer service.
You have to be careful what's on the shelves and the prices because they're a mess. Yesterday I had a sad situation Because of the chicken legs that I took from the shelf where the price was 6 euros and at the checkout after paying it turned out that I had paid 8 euros.I wanted to exchange it because it wasn't my mistake, but the manager said no, she didn't know what was going on and that she didn't put the goods on the shelves... The people who work there are there as punishment. They are very bad at clicking. Cash register number 4 does not have a working monitor, so it is not possible to respond to the complaint in advance. I will definitely not shop in this store again.
Dear Aldi support.
On the 29th of september in Wassenaar, i had a bad experience with one of your employees.
I came to Aldi with my mother, with a coca cola zero can from my schools vending machine. I always go to Aldi to buy my groceries. When my time came to pay for my groceries, he stopped me and had a look at my coca cola zero can which was finished when i came in. He told me to pay for it, i told him that i bought it from my schools vending machine. He didn't believe, and he told me that he can't trust me. I told the sir, that i do not steal, and i don't have a receipt because its from a vending machine. He then said ''Everyone says that miss'' in a very disrespectful manner. He embarrassed me and my mother, infront of the whole line. I told him that i can show him on my bank account that i payed for it, and that i can show him the brand of the vending machine. He refused to take a look. He accused me of stealing. In the end, he sarcastically apologised in a high voice, and let us go. If he was a professional worker, he would tell me to patiently wait, and he would go look at the security camera system to check if i had the coca cola zero in my hand when i came in or not, and not make a big scene just because of a cola can.
i was asked to leave the new store in my neighborhood, here in Leiden, recently. i had gone there and done a bit of shopping...then i had to wait at the cash register for 3 minutes, LITerally, till someone showed up from the back of the store to check me and another customer out...
then i went across the street to Albert Heijn to do a bit more shopping. they were all out of raisin bread so i went back to Aldi to get one of the loaves i saw there. When i went to check out...same thing. noone there...after 2 minutes someone showed up but he didn''t go to the register...he called to the back of the store and the same young woman came to check me out...i started to say something about why isn''t there anyone here to check people out...and she asked to look in my backpack...i open it up and she doesn''t really look inside...she just says, 'ok'. so i start commenting on how there''s no POINT to asking about looking in my bag if she''s not really going to look. and that there WAS stuff in there from that store because i was there EARlier...then her colleague came over and asked what was wrong...i began to explain what had happened...he took the stuff i was buying...put it aside and asked me to leave...if that's the sort of service i'm to expect there, thanks. i'll stick to lidl...
Just came out of Aldi Oirsbeek - the FLIES sitting on the breadrolls and donuts are DISGUSTING- when I asked the lady “how can you expect people to buy food with flies sitting on them and that its unhygienic!?” She responded and said it’s the choice of the bakery to have those kind of holders and there is nothing she can do and if people choose to buy them then that’s our choice! WHAT!? What kind of response is this from an European wide chain store! DISGUSTING and such poor management!? Really!? On your website you talk about responsibility towards the environment etc... but what about the people buying your products?? You must be delusional if you think on your website you can talk about being socially and environmentally responsible but your employees say its ok for us consumers to eat bacteria ridden food!!! are you kidding me?
