Incompetent Delivery Drivers
The delivery driver allegedly “attempted” delivery three times via DHL Express, which is completely unacceptable. All delivery instructions were clearly provided on the shipping label, including the buzzer code and an authorized signature release. Despite this, on three separate days, the driver failed to even attempt to buzz in.
I rearranged my schedule and took time off work specifically to receive this package, yet the driver demonstrated a shocking level of negligence by not making any genuine delivery attempt. At this point, this has gone beyond inconvenience and into outright service failure. As of writing this, I still do not have my package.

As a new potential small business customer in Sweden, I got a initially good and pleasant response over the phone regarding setting up a new account and executing a first shipment.
They then sent the wrong documents so I could not complete my first shipping order. Then they gave me a price over the phone on my first shipping. 550 EUR, which is that's fine and very close to other companies I've been in contact with.
Then the website was really tough to understand and when I finally got answers and help to overcome some website bugs, but now the price for the same transport was now over 20.000 EUR (!!).
I thought at first that the website gave me the wrong sum, but after some days of trying to get a hold of the sales woman, she finally called and say: 20.000 EUR is in fact the correct amount for your shipping. No real apology or pragmatism. Just brick wall vibes. Good bye DHL.
NON-EXISTANT CUSTOMER SERVICE
You keep me waiting on the phone for 20 minutes, then drop the call.
You don't answer emails, but you are incredibly efficient and tenacious about threatening legal action.
For over a decade, I have spent thousands of pounds with you. I might be forgiven for presuming that might entitle me to a minimal level of customer service. I honestly can't think of a company with worse customer service.
The time I have to waste because you can't send an email with a payment link is ridiculous. And yes, I went through setting up MyBill, but no one got back to me as your email stated.
At every stage, your communications fail with the singular exception of letters stating 'commencement of legal action'.
Maybe I will get a reply on Trust Pilot.

Unfortunately there is not a ZERO stars optiion or I would have given that.
The driver did not even bother to look for us! 3 days "out for delivery " ha ha ha ha ha. Absolutely useless service, do not use as your customers will end up like us, very very disappointed and then having to travel to another town to collect something that should have been delivered to our door. Totally incompetent company and "Service" as there is absolutely no Service.
Eventually resolved by email with their head Office and delivered to a DHL shop 10km away, thank Lauren for that. But the rest of the company should hold their heads in shame as that is a really pathetic operation. Not like the DHL in other countries where they are considered a premium service but not in Spain.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from DHL Express Kenya. This has been one of the worst shipping experiences I have ever encountered.
First, the delivery was not made on time, despite DHL’s promise of express service. This delay completely disrupted my plans and ruined my schedule, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
Secondly, I was required to pay KES 7,999 as tax, and later I was shocked to be asked to pay an additional KES 9,674 for customs charges. The declared value of the item is only £150, yet I ended up paying almost 100% of the item’s value in extra charges. This is completely unreasonable and unacceptable. Such excessive charges are something I have never experienced before with any courier service.
At no point was there clear communication or transparency about these costs before shipment. Customers should not be surprised with multiple unexpected payments after already committing to a service that claims to be reliable and professional.
Overall, DHL Express Kenya failed in:
Timely delivery
Cost transparency
Customer experience
Reliability of service
Because of this experience, I strongly advise others not to use DHL Express Kenya. The service is expensive, unreliable, and causes more problems than it solves.
I expect a serious explanation and accountability for these issues.

My worst experiece with a carrier in 40 years. Not effective & rude staff. I imagined that they have low ratings only in Romania, But it looks like they have low ratings here as well. A pack with a Christmas gift from Japan was returned to the sender due to their mismanagement.
Poor communication & lied about delivery
I ordered a package which was sent from Japan. Twice, I received a text from DHL stating that the package couldn't be delivered because no one was home. On both occasions I was home, and I have video surveillance on the outside of our house (into our cul de sac). A DHL delivery van was NEVER recorded entering our court during the times and dates they said they attempted to deliver. I feel like the driver lied. Then, when I tried to reach out to them, there were no customer agents available. I had to submit an email. They said I would receive a reply within 1 business day, but I did not receive any reply until my second email.

Package was supposed to come today. It got delivered to a package station at 14:58. At 15:00 said package station closes. Wasted my time trying to pick up a package that was available to pickup for a full 2 minutes. I have a flight this afternoon to go out of the country, y’all can shove that package up your face

I’ve used DHL Express several times for sending important documents and small packages to Europe. Every time the experience was consistent - staff at the branch helped fill out customs forms, double-checked the addresses, and clearly explained the delivery options. Tracking works perfectly; I could follow every stage of the shipment
One package arrived a day later than expected due to customs in Germany, but DHL notified me about it in advance.
The only drawback is the price, but considering the reliability, I’d say it’s justified. For urgent or valuable shipments, it’s worth it

I bought some SEX TOY on a platform from Germany. Once it arrived in Italy they opened it and they put the duck tape REPACKED. They also put a new label for the shipping from the Italian Headquarters to my address. That's unbelievable. The privacy in non-existent!!!

Every time, the seller ships via DHL without giving me a choice, and I end up paying about AED 400 in shipping fees — nearly half the order’s value. This is extremely excessive for such small items, and even my friends are frustrated with the same issue when using DHL. You’ve heard of bait and switch? DHL are experts. I order a package from TME, it was 2 items shipped separately due to, out of stock. First package took 4 days from Lodz, Poland to Lake Forest, California, USA. Second part of my order seems to have been lost or forgotten about. It was picked up 5/22/25 and I am still waiting for a delivery date, today, 6/2/25. I inquired about the shipment and was told DHL doesnt interfere with customs. So I researched DBP they work according to demand, since Cincinnati, Ohio is a DHL entry point I’m sure they are busy. Yes DBP doesn’t work Memorial Day but it’s just one day. DHL sends you notifications that states the clearing customs process can start while the parcel is in transit which makes the length of time it’s taking DHL to complete my delivery unfathomable.
Another issue is, they give you the ability to track your shipment but the times are inaccurate. Malpensa, Italy to Cincinnati, Ohio, USA is about a 12 freight flight. It left Malpensa approximately 7:15 5/25/25 and doesn’t show an arrival time, just keeps showing “clearance event”. This caused me confusion, does this mean DBP physically have my package and they are inspecting it or is it still in transit and they are reviewing the import documents. Update 12:35am 6/2/25 my package has departed Cincinnati, Ohio. Where has my shipment been the last 9 days? When did the plane land? Most shipments are processed by DBP within 5 days, according to Google. I did sent an information request to DBP I should get a reply in 7-10 days. What will I get first, my reply or my package?
Held to ransom and charged 27 euros for…
Held to ransom and charged 27 euros for an item to be released and delivered to me. Postage had already been paid in full and customs charges were a reasonable 7 euros but DHL charged 20 euros extra 'minimum fee'. The item was worth less than 40 euros. Contacted DHL customer service and was fobbed off various times in a patronising manner. I've informed the company I purchased the item from to advise how DHL are taking money from their clients 'or else' no release of the item. They'll change provider hopefully. Oh and of course the phone number didn't work. Disappointed and annoyed.
Such a terrible service
Such a terrible service. It costed 80$ to deliver passport from Poland to Thailand. They put the parcel on hold for 3 TIMES! Delivery is already late for 4 days and still not delivered. They NEVER call to notify about the issue. On top of that they charged me additional 25$ "customs fee" for the passport! The custom fee is non existent for the documents. This is redicilous. Worst experience ever! Avoid DHL at all cost!

German efficiency "NON EXISTANT", the item was sent on 12th March, on trying to track it, IT WAS SAT IN GERMAN CUSTOM's until 18th March. It is now "Stuck with Parcel Force UK".
