Gabb set up has become so much easier in the last few years.
Way less updates too. We have added a few lines over the years and love it more and more.
I would like to have a photo editor on the devices in the future. And the gabb maps can't find our location.

We signed up with Gabb 4 years ago and have had nothing but problems! The watches conveniently die at the 12 month, one week mark. (They have a 1 year warranty & you have to sign a 2-year service contract)
The first time it happened, I paid for a new watch. The next time I refused to pay for another device. Customer service does nothing to help and is not empathetic at all! They repeatedly ask if you would like to buy another device or pay a cancellation fee to end your service (the same amount you would pay if you don’t terminate it)! You are stuck paying a monthly fee for a service that is useless without a device! Total scam!

The experience was great. I could research online and I didn’t have to go spend hours at a retail store. It came in the mail fast. Kiddo loves it and I love being able to communicate with them.

We have overall been very pleased with our Gabb phone we purchased for my daughter. I will say the data runs out very quickly which doesn’t make her happy. We have had a few technical issues, however the response from the company has been incredible. Someone from support text messaged me right after purchase and checks in. If I have an issue I just text and they are very responsive and able to assist! I would highly recommend this company to families that want accessibility to communication for their child, but aren’t ready to allow them to have access to full phone.

It's ok, until it stops working. Customer service sucks. Warranty is trash.
The watch was good for communicating with my kid. The GPS tracker was slow to update - this was especially stressful if they were out playing. It also was very susceptible to butt dials, which was also super stressful - like is my kid calling but not able to communicate (kidnapped??? fell in a well???? lol), or just bumped it without knowing. The battery life wasn't great. Then one day it just stopped working. It would not charge. It could not be reset. Customer service was completely unhelpful. I had been previously upsold on the warranty, but was never told that the "deductible" for using the warranty was almost the same as what I had paid for the watch itself. Switching to a watch through my cell phone company - cheaper upfront cost, similar monthly cost, better warranty protection.
The only reason I'm even giving 2 stars is because my kid felt pretty cool having a watch and loved sending me silly voice messages.

I have had all my text questions answered quickly, they helped me trouble shoot, know when to return the item to prime and then how to transfer the new device when it arrived. All quickly, politely, and some of it after 5pm PST. So far I am impressed with the customer support team and look forward to trying out the service for my family.

I was notified immediately that there would be an issue with my device and it not shipping before being activated. The service I received to remedy this matter was quick and very helpful even though the matter could not get fixed for a few more days.

Upgrading was simple and a breeze! Customer service was very helpful in explaining any questions I had. The piece of mind knowing that I can track my child and make sure they are not leaving school premises is reassuring. I also like how customizable and safe the parent can make it through the settings. Great company and device!

What are the top reasons a parent gets a phone for their kids? To get in contact with them and to track them if they are not at home. Gabb does not deliver on tracking. It is not accurate or up to date 90% of the time. You can call Gabb and they will tell you to “refresh” location or turn the phone off and then on again, it still won’t update and be accurate. Sometimes it hours behind. You open it up and it has the location from 18 hours ago. And it’s not cheap. My kids don’t even have access to to the internet, they can’t group text or receive or send photos or files and for two phones my bill is $60. I might as well go with a larger carrier and implement parent restrictions.

Video chat does not work at all. When I talk to a representative they had me go through and reset all the firmware in the end still not possible. They told me they've been having trouble with it and would cop me for one month. This was part of the reason I went with your service was so my kid could do video calls, other services. The device themselves do not support. They just have pictures or if even a camera

The phone is amazing. Took me a little while to get used to, but it is soooo worth it. Texts and phone calls are easy. A couple faults though. The phone is really slow to add contacts and the phone camera isn’t super clear. You also have to have the Gabb FaceTime app to FaceTime your friends, but most people don’t have that, so FaceTime is tricky.

It was pretty easy to set up, except the first time it told me it wasn’t fully set up and to go to the MyGabb app on the phone, but it wasn’t there. I ended up resetting it and it worked. Also wish there was one app for parents, not multiple. My daughter is enjoying the music, camera and talking to family, while we love we can track her and control who she talks to and that there’s no web access.
