DANGEROUS GOODS — AVOID.
We bought a kids bunk bed from Leaf Living and what turned up was a joke. The timber and finish were visibly damaged, the paint job was cheap and patchy, there were cracks/splitting at joins, and the fixings didn’t line up properly. For bunk beds meant for children, that’s not “cosmetic” as Leaf Living put it, that’s a safety issue.
There is zero chance this bunk bed meets Australian safety standards.
We sent photos and demanded a refund. Instead of taking responsibility, Leaf Living kept sending generic, copy-paste, ChatGPT-style replies blaming “transport” and “installation” to dodge a refund. Just endless circles, excuses, and delay tactics.
We’ve lodged a Consumer Affairs complaint and we’re still out of pocket.
AVOID.
09/02 - Update: Leaf Living’s reply is more nonsense. They claim our photos were “non-visible internal components” and “taken before completion”.
Wrong. Every photo is of visible, external surfaces (you can see for yourself) the stuff you see when it’s assembled. Chips, cracks, bad paint, damage and misaligned fixings. You can’t hide that.
The posted links to pretty photos are not even of our actual product. Irrelevant.
They also keep talking about a refund being “processed/under review” (we have emails saying this) but no refund has been processed and we’re still out of pocket.
Lots of words, zero action. AVOID.

For some reason my reviews are not being posted. This company promised that the items were in stock and later refused refunds for over 2 months after it was not delivered. My order number is 9005 and finally managed to get a refund through amex.

DO NOT BUY FROM LEAF LIVING! If i could give zero stars i would!
Do not buy from this company. I will be contacting the ACCC and the ombudsman.
I ordered bunk beds for my daughter as a Christmas present on 9 November. A few days later, having heard nothing, I contacted the company to check whether the bed would arrive in time for Christmas. They told me I should receive it in time for Christmas, even though it was outside the standard 4–6 week delivery timeframe, but they could not guarantee it.
Two weeks out from Christmas, I emailed again asking for an ETA. At that point, I was advised that the O1 model I originally ordered was out of stock and in production. They never contacted me to advise this; I only found out because I followed up. They offered to upgrade me to the O2 model, which was $170 more, and said they would cover half the cost. I paid the additional $85. I was told the O2 model was in stock in Adelaide and would arrive before Christmas.
When the bed arrived, it was the worst quality product I have ever seen. There were patch jobs where filler had been applied but not sanded, inconsistent paint throughout, very transparent in areas and not a full white colour. There were cracks and splits in the woodwork throughout. The bed was not assembled evenly, with parts sticking out. Which creates multiple hazards for potential injury for my 7 year old. I could not believe this was a bed that cost close to $1,000. The photos provided are only the first few pieces from the first box, we didn't even other looking at the rest or opening the other boxes.
After raising this with the company and sending photos, I was later advised that the O2 model sent to me had been accidentally taken from their quality control section and that I had been sent a bed that had been flagged as poor quality and should never have been dispatched.
I immediately requested a replacement. I was told this would not be possible until the first week of January and that someone would contact me. No one did.
In the third week of January, I followed up again. I was then told the replacement stock was actually in Sydney at the docks, and due to storms and rain they could not access it for delivery. I was offered a $300 discount for the inconvenience and asked whether I was happy to wait one more week or receive a full refund. As I had already waited nearly three months, I agreed to wait another week.
I then asked whether I could keep the faulty bed and receive a refund so I could have a professional fix and repaint it. They offered an additional $100, totalling $400. I advised that it would cost me more to get it professionally repaired, and that they would not be able to sell the faulty product they had sent me — so it made sense to allow me to keep it and fix it myself. I was told they would speak to the general manager and get back to me. A few days later, I emailed again and requested an update, but again, no one contacted me.
The following week, I chased this up again asking where the bed was and why no one had responded. I was then told that the O2 model was now out of stock and back in production, and they could instead offer me the O1 model (the original bed I ordered back in November) with a $300 discount, despite the fact that I had already paid extra to upgrade because the O1 model was supposedly unavailable.
I called immediately, explained how unhappy I was, and requested a full refund while keeping the bed. The staff member spoke to a manager and offered a $400 discount, which I declined as it would cost more than that to properly repair and repaint the bed. I again requested a full refund and was told they would call me back. They did not.
That was two days ago. I called again yesterday and left a voicemail. No one returned my call. I called again today and still could not speak to anyone you are forced to leave a voice message. Which they don't return calls anyway.
My daughter has now been sleeping on a thin mattress on the floor for months as we got rid of her bed when we were advised the bunk bed was on the way. She also had no Christmas present! The customer service is extremely poor, responses take days (if they respond at all), and the fact that a failed quality control item was sent to a customer, as well as the lack of proactive communication about out of stock items, is completely unacceptable.
I would never recommend purchasing from this company. They will probably respond to this review, like they have to all the others, with excuses and try to defend their actions, but there is no defense for poor customer service, lack of accountability, and lack of communication.
Not good, not sure if a scam or just very poor service.
Ordered a table tennis table for family for Christmas. Website advised 3-week lead time - ordered with time to spare.
No delivery by Christmas.
Lots of emails to support, told delivery by mid-Jan. Then late-Jan. Now early February, still waiting.
Each week told it will be delivered very soon and never happens.
Not sure if it will ever show up...
Bought a pool table for our games room and it looks fantastic. The delivery team were punctual and careful, and installation was done efficiently. There was a slight delay initially, but customer service kept us informed, which we appreciated.
We purchased a dining table and chairs set and couldn’t be happier. The quality is excellent and everything arrived exactly as pictured on the website. Communication throughout the process was clear and timely. Great value and a very professional experience overall.
Word of warning of this dodgy company. Expect Chinese crap from them if you even get to receive it. Wasting your time and money as this company lies on being Australia owned. It's a Chinese run company and all the crap looks good on there website, but it is a mass Chinese crap that they are selling. Read other reviews and buyer be very aware.
If I could give less than a star it would be too much.
Ordered a kids bed.
Asked for it to be ‘customised’ as part of the service they offer.
Paid $400 for a different color and amendments and was told 8 week delivery.
Each week we asked ‘where is the bed’?
Each time was told ‘Because it’s custom it will take longer’
Took 7 months to arrive and was a regular bed, no customisation.
Anyway, instead of refunding the customisation fee Leaf Living somehow thought they’d do us a favour by providing installation at no cost (usually $400).
Hmmm, we didn’t get a $400 customisation, nor a refund but was told they’d provide a $400 installation of something we didn’t order for free?
Anyway, 7 months had gone by so we said ok let’s just get a bed for our son who had been waiting for 7 months.
Someone randomly arrived with no notice and installed the incorrectly delivered bed.
Absolute mess, drawers dont close ir open, screw holes all over where there should be none, screws pushing through frame. Total muppet job and blamed the product.
Filled out a form asking if bed was installed to our satisfaction.
Said NO!
No response.
Then was told they’d provide bed we ordered as custom had arrived 9 months later nearly. Would we like it installed?
They didn't even realise they had sent someone to install what they incorrectly delivered and then furthermore that it was in poor condition, broken on arrival and badly installed.
Their logistics is garbage.
Communication is rubbish.
They dont know what they are doing.
We’ve asked for a significant refund and no response, except for the lovely support placations.
Stay as far away from this company as you can.
If it goes pear shaped you will get no help from them.
Leaf living will likely respond differently to this review expressing thier priorities and services, and once again extend the entire process to the point one just gives up.
I had a few issues with my order but despite this the Leaf team kept in constant communication, replied to all my emails promptly and tried to find solutions before ultimately giving me back a full refund. I appreciate the time and effort that went into helping me, thanks team Leaf. The phones were also always answered if I rang in the am, and the person on the other line eager to help.
Ordered a Desk on 10/10/2025, website said 4-6 weeks. Desk arrived at warehouse 3 months later and in the wrong colour. Customer support does not answer calls either. Absolute Garbage, still no solution to my problem. Don't order anything from them

Do they even have a customer support team to answer calls? placed an order before Christmas and no further information provided on delivery date. Tried calling and emailing, heard crickets.
On 7 Oct 25 I ordered and paid for an electronic cart that was online as available. A day later I got an email to say the inventory was not up todate and the cart was not available and they apologised, offered a 5% discount, put me at the top of the waiting list and would notify me as soon as it becomes available. On 30 Oct an email said the cart would be sent next week in early Nov followed up with the 5000 mAh battery early Dec.
Apart from innumerable emails suggesting I would receive it soon its now the 10 Jan 26 no delivery details have been received, I've tried ringing a number of times leaving my details for a reply, again nothing heard.
For a company that talks about customer satisfaction on the phone message they need to live up to their supposed ideals

Very disappointed. Order placed for items needed for a Christmas event. Order was supposed to be 4-6 weeks delivery. Ordered in good time 8 weeks prior to event. Multiple emails to say they would be arriving at later and later dates and each one missed and no delivery. My event came and went and items still not delivered. Had to hire tables and have them set up by staff remotely. Finally gave up and cancelled my order. Don't use Leaf living if you want your items for a specified date as they will let you down. Leaf Living, very good at thanking you for your understanding and patience, very bad at actually delivering on what they promised.

I ordered a 3 in 1 pool table on 29 December. To avoid the issues that others have had with slow delivery, my husband hired a van and travelled an hour each way to the warehouse in Wetherill Park to pick it up (costing about $100 including hire, tolls and petrol). When he returned, we discovered that one of the four boxes was for the incorrect table. We immediately attempted to call Leaf Living and it took about ten attempts (waiting on hold each time for 7 minutes) before we got through to a person. They (Joseph) were extremely helpful, organising for the warehouse to call us the next day to arrange a replacement. This, however, never happened. It took another round of about ten calls for us to get through to Leaf Living. We said that we would come out and collect it from the warehouse if they covered our expenses, but they only offered a $30 discount. Instead, they said the replacement would be delivered that day. They promised that the warehouse manager would call us with a delivery time, which never happened. When the replacement part was eventually delivered, we discovered that the two halves of the table tennis table were covered with different material - one an adhesive cover and one painted (?). After trying to contact Leaf Leaving another five times, we eventually had to go out to the warehouse to get this issue fixed and another replacement part (costing another $100). All in all, a terrible experience. Would never order from this company again!

Absolutely unacceptable service from Leaf Living Australia. I ordered a pool table with accessories over two months ago, and to this day I still have no confirmation of when—or even if—it will be delivered and installed. Communication has been painfully poor: vague responses, no clear timelines, and zero accountability. For a large, expensive item that requires professional installation, this level of disorganisation is astounding. If you value your time, money, or sanity, think very carefully before ordering from this company. A product delayed this long with no confirmed delivery date is simply not good enough especially when it was to be a xmas present for my children moving into our new house.I have even requested a refund and cannot receive any clear response.BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

Updating my original review where I was most dissatisfied…..
I ordered a custom sized pool table from Leaf Living on the 11 September with an original delivery date of around 6th November. This date was then pushed to early December, then 100% before Christmas, then 100% before the New Year. It finally arrived on the 10th of January on the eve of 4 months!
Alex turned up a 4pm on Saturday and powered through to almost midnight with the installation I paid for.
The table is an 8 foot model of the QUESLA 4D 9 FT model. The 8 FT model is now on their website after my request - I just couldn’t fit the 9 FT model in my space. In my view, from my early impressions, it’s the best value American style pool table you will find in the Australian market.
I think, if my expectations had been set at 4 months originally, I still would have ordered given the price, but this would have been given 5 stars.
It was a long wait but worth the patience. It took many calls and follow up but they did deliver

Tried to make contact multiple times to ask about product availability, and to view products in the warehouse before buying.
Despite many promises from the automated AI chat entity about forwarding my query (multiple times) to the customer service team, no response was received.

I had a few questions before ordering my billiards table, and customer service was quick to reply and super helpful. The table arrived in perfect condition and looks amazing in our home.
