Tracy has been absolutely amazing helping my son to successfully pass his Grade 5 music theory exam with a high Distinction, first time. Her methods are brilliant, she teaches with clarity, humour and patience.
Before we found Tracy my son had worked through all the rather dull and difficult books and when it came to sit the exam he had a meltdown and lost all confidence. Tracy gave him 8 lessons, her methods were absolutely brilliant, as were all the free teaching videos and review Saturday classes. He leaned so much from her and importantly she built up his confidence to sit the exam. And he got a high distinction so everyone very happy.

My son has just passed his ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory exam with Distinction, and we are extremely grateful to Tracy for her guidance.

Over just four lessons, she covered the entire Grade 5 syllabus in a very clear, structured and systematic way, with targeted exercises and homework after each class. My son always knew exactly what he needed to understand, memorize and practise.
What we appreciated most was that:
• Tracy doesn’t just “teach to the test” – she helps students genuinely understand the logic behind music theory (scales, chords, keys, rhythm), connecting everything into one big picture;
• She is very familiar with the latest online exam format and question styles, and gave lots of practical tips, so the real exam felt very “familiar” to my son;

My daughter had to have a fast track Music Theory (Grade 5) course during summer 2025 in order for her to be able to take Grade 7 violin and piano exams.
We approached Music Lessons at a late stage when most of the places have already been booked.

That said, Tracy was wonderful in finding the time to assess my daughter's level and to match her with the right tutor Liz (who was absolutely brilliant).

The lessons were well structured and exactly at the right level that my daughter required. Most importantly, Liz went well beyond what one would usually expect by offering her expert advice and time in reviewing and assessing my daughter's mock exams papers and offering extra assistance when and if required.

As a result my daughter has got a distinction for her Grade 5 ABRSM music theory exam.

Tracy is an exceptional teacher. My son is a talented musician but is dyslexic and becomes very anxious around exams. Although he understood most of the material, he struggled to cope with the online exam format and had lost his confidence. Tracy was unfailingly calm and patient, and taught him a range of clear, practical techniques that helped him approach the paper-based exam with confidence. She is extremely responsive, her resources are excellent, and as a result he has now achieved a strong pass at Grade 5.

Music Lessons Anywhere has been incredible! We were worried our 12-year-old daughter wouldn’t pass her Grade 5 Theory in time to submit for Grade 6, but after just four days of lessons, she passed with confidence. Tracey is patient, kind, and truly knows how to motivate kids. The learning resources are outstanding, and the homework structure is clear and easy to follow. If I could give Music Lessons Anywhere 6 stars I would! Tracy did a fantastic job preparing my 10 year old for her Grade 5 Theory exam. My daughter completed the 1-2-1 online sessions, and was supported through several practice exam papers before completing the real thing. I cannot praise Tracy highly enough for her dedication, inspiration and positivity. Nothing was ever too much and her communication was clear and timely. There is no way my daughter would have been able to sit the exam as quickly as she did without Tracy's support. Tracy from Music Lessons Anywhere has been a brilliant teacher for my son. He had an extremely busy schedule, and everyone I spoke to suggested he would need at least three months of preparation. However, Music Lessons Anywhere runs an 8-hour course, and after an initial evaluation, Tracy confidently recommended the 8 hours. I was a little sceptical, as many had said how difficult the exam was, but Tracy’s experience and structured approach were remarkable.

After each class, she marked all his homework thoroughly, offered free follow-up workshops, provided support videos, and even hosted interactive sessions with games to keep students engaged. Highly recommend the intensive ABRSM Grade 5 theory course with Tracy! She is wonderful! The lessons only one week, and interactive and engaging, with difficult concepts being delivered across in a way that’s very easy to understand.My daughter is 10, followed the lessons with no problem at all. We appreciate the extensive resources, valuable feedback on homework, attentive response on questions and the extra tips on past papers.

All resources were easy to access amd my daughter really enjoyed the lessons. I was unable to help my daughter with the learning but after the intensive course and two workshops she now has her Grade 5 Theory. Excellent G5 Theory teaching and resources. Very friendly tutors. Our 11 yo had not done any music theory but after an initial free session with Tracy it was felt they could do the intensive course. The course requires x4 lessons of 2h duration (on zoom) with Louise. The lessons and homework covered the entire G5 theory syllabus. Both Tracy and Louise were readily on hand for queries, provision of extra work and marking of extra work/papers. The sessions, website and course work was excellent and packaged in a very concise and manageable way. Our child sat exam shortly after the 4th lesson, having done the practice exam on the ABRSM site. They secured a strong pass and were delighted! The service and intense course at MLA is second to none, and an excellent choice for those kids with little to no music theory experience. Also excellent for those kids and parents who just want to get their G5 theory done! Tracy and Louise were brilliant. The hardest thing is waiting 28 days for the result! Thank you!! SJ

My daughter took an intensive course for her grade 5 theory which she needed to pass before taking grade 6 piano.

The teaching was online, delivered as a lesson and with lots of supporting materials to work through during and after the lessons. The lessons were fun and kept my daughter engaged and Tracy provided as much support outside of the sessions as required, marking work quickly and responding to queries.

A brilliant tutoring institute which help my girl to a get a fantastic result with distinction in less than 3 weeks on ABRSM Grade 5 Theory exam.
