Hey Rachael,

We’re gutted to read that you only gave us two stars (and two at a push).

We’ve recently launched our brand new high-lathering formulation. Depending on how long you wash for and how hairy you are (or not), will affect how many washes you get from a Bob bar.

On average, our community tells us they get between 10 and 15 washes, but from what you’ve shared, it sounds like your bar is going down a lot quicker than that.

We’d love to learn more about how you’re washing with Bob, and see if we can help get you properly lathered up. Would you mind dropping us an email at [email protected] and we’ll see what we can do to soapport you behind the shower curtain.

Thanks for the honest review. Overall, we’re really glad to hear you like Bob, the applicator, and the new scent.

Now to the price point. Because we use premium ingredients and manufacture our bars in Scotland, we are certainly not the cheapest bar on the market.

We wish we could reduce the RRP further, and hopefully as we grow and place larger order MOQs we can do that. Unfortunately, for now, premium products come with a higher price tag than brands that choose to use cheaper ingredients that aren’t as good for your skin.
We are currently in the process of launching Bob bundles, which you can access in your Bob account.

Once you log in to your Bob account and soapscription, you can add a refill pack to your monthly order, which will give you 4 bars for £12 (monthly), so only £3 per bar. Or even better, you can switch to our every 3-month bundle and add 4 refill packs (8 bars) for only £24.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

When Bob bars were created, we removed all of the nasty ingredients which is what is used to create extra foam and lather. Have you watched this video of our co-founder Mike, explaining how to get the most lather out of Bob? https://youtu.be/n_5HuDBhdc4?feature=shared

Like all suckers, Bob's shower mount suckers only stick to glass or shiny tiles, so we are working hard behind the shower curtain to develop an adhesive accessory for the shower mount. This will allow you to stick the shower mount to matt tiles and concrete finish surfaces. We are currently in testing phase and hoping to launch this soon.

We're really happy to hear that you've been loving your time with Bob.

Regarding extending our range of scents, in the last two weeks, we have launched three brand new scents! They are all live and ready for you to try. If you log in to your Bob account area: https://welcometobob.com/account, you can easily add a new scent to your bundle or swap between our scents.

Great news, in your account area, we have also launched this weekend the ability for you to add more refill packs to your soapscription. Just like your suggestion, you can actually now add a second refill pack so you get 4 bars for £12 (similar to your £10 for three idea).

On the plus side we're certainly glad to hear that you're loving the scent, although we are sorry to hear that Bob is not meeting your expectations overall!

On average, our Bob community gets around 10–15 washes per bar, but we know this can wild vary for some of our Bob customers depending on how long you shower for, how big (or small) you are, and how hairy (or not) you are.

We appreciate that our bars are not the cheapest on the market and that's because we use premium ingredients, and manufacture our bars in Scotland.

We are in the process of creating a new Bob bar bundle for customers who are finding that their Bob bars are going down faster than our average user. The bundle will give more bars, at a reduced price. If you could drop us an email on [email protected] we'd love to work with you to trial our new bundle behind the shower curtain, if you'd be up open to it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review and for letting us know about this. It’s a great point.

You’re absolutely right that the last thing we want is for Bob to feel less environmentally friendly because you’re having to keep the water running. When used with the right technique, your husband should be able to turn the tap off while lathering and still get smooth glide and coverage, so it sounds like there may just be a small adjustment needed rather than more water.

We’d genuinely love to help your husband get the best experience with Bob. If you’re up for it, please drop us a quick note at [email protected] and we’ll share a short tutorial from one of our co-founders on how to maximise the lather, while using as little water as possible.

We definitely wouldn’t recommend drinking because of Bob. As three ordinary men behind the shower curtain who read every review and spend every day trying to make Bob a product men genuinely want to use in the shower daily, we’re honestly gutted to read this.

And we certainly didn’t mean for our co-founder Mike in a towel to be the reason you ended up paying for Meta! He hates being in front of the camera.

What we’d really love, if you’re open to it, is to understand what specifically didn’t work for you. Whether it was how it washed, how it felt, or how it compared to what you normally use. That kind of feedback is invaluable while Bob’s still young.
