Sick leave

It is very disappointing that your company, whose motto is to help clients, has been ignoring emails and phone calls for almost five months and has withheld the payment of sick leave benefits for two months after surgery for a person who has worked honestly and has never previously taken sick leave.

Worst Insurance in Switzerland

Worst Insurance in Switzerland, so unprofessionals, please stay away from this Mafia. When it comes to get your money they will never pay you. They will play with your food and don't care a bit.

I have been paying for Groupe Mutuel…

I have been paying for Groupe Mutuel supplemental insurance for 2 years and discovered that I am locked into a 3-year contract that I cannot leave, even though I have never used the service. The rules are unclear and not explained transparently when you sign. When I asked about cancelling, the answer was simply “you must pay until the end.
Be very careful before signing with Groupe Mutuel. Ask specifically about contract duration, renewal, and cancellation rights. I regret choosing them and would not recommend their supplemental insurance to anyone.

If I could give less than one star I would. The absolutely worse, thieves dressed in suits is the best way to describe them. Absolutely no help when needed and they make it impossible for you to leave them, with hidden clauses and extra charges. I had terminated my contract with them, gotten a whole new one with a different company and they are still sending me bills for “supplementary insurance” which I was under impression would be cancelled along with your main contract cause that would make sense. but apparently to them I needed to specify that.

Avoid!!! Worst health insurance in Switzerland

Simply worst health insurance in Switzerland. Bad, incompetent, they always try to scam you. Main goal is to lure you the first year, then they increase premiums and make everything possible so you can’t leave them. Avoid at all cost!

0 Customer Service, Known by Hospitals for causing issues to patience

When the Hospital tells me "Ah you are with them, they are known to cause this issue for patience" It tells me everything, but then I have to experience this firsthand.

They are not helpful and if its up to you to get them to pay, you have to do everything, everything, they wont do anything to assist you and will make it as hard as possible.

Slow and uninterested company

Extremely slow. And customer service seems totally uninterested in adding value and helping. I am changing assurance de base ASAP. I would advise to avoid Groupe Mutuel until they get their act together and improve on all fronts. It's embarrassing to what extent they obviously don't care about their customers. Thank goodness that with so much competition, there are better options available out there.

We moved from SWICA to GM two years…

We moved from SWICA to GM two years ago. At the beginning we felt it was a good choice but the past 6 months have turned into a nightmare for us. I can only advise others to avoid them totally. Their staff on the call centre are friendly, and there is the option of English, but it seems they definitely have a system/communication problem internally. It really seem what’s said on the phone and the letters produced by the system are in no way connected. We have had an issue that we have not been able to resolve, since April - at the beginning I thought it was just a simple misunderstanding or an issue with their app - as it wasn’t showing me any open bills etc. But it is now at a point where we call them and we write to them - on a weekly basis - and we are even paying the open invoice in question in installment (as was agreed on the phone) while trying to figure out the issue. I believe that one of the many issues they have is their billing system - if you’re paying a bill in installments (one of my husbands hospital bills) and are delayed in paying any other bills after that - the system automatically cancels your installments plan for the first bill - I think this is where it gets messy - because you continue to pay the installments as planned, thinking everything is fine - but the system has already cancelled the plan I actually have no idea where this money has been going towards now - whats worse is, they sent another letter threatening with another open bill which I actually paid the same day and despite phone conversations after this date, assuring us things are under control, we suddenly received a letter last week stating that they have terminated part of our insurance with them due to an open bill (we are a family of four and have full private insurance) - not only that, the open bill was related to one family member but they cancelled all four - not only that - they also backdated the cancelled part of the insurance - to cancel it from a year ago (we have been paying for it for the year). I actually am at a loss for words, and am so upset at how frustrating and stressful this has been. We have had private full insurance with all the extras for over 15 years, and suddenly we receive a letter telling us that’s no longer the case. We are still running around with weekly calls and emails trying to understand how this can be. There is no one with an overview of the situation. My only explanation is that their computer systems are really a mess - and every time we call and someone makes a note under our file, it doesn’t go further. Emails take up to two weeks to get a response, and as it takes so long, it seems the system has already sent the next letter or gone to the next step - and so the issue continues to grow. We have been informed that writing in English takes longer to get a response, so we are now writing in German, but even after two years, we still receive letters in French (which we can’t understand at all). It has been the most frustrating experience with them and a very unfair and stressful one. We have emailed again asking to escalate, we were also on another call with them last week trying ask to speak to a manager, however the phone line cut off and they never called us back. We have no choice but to go in person to one of their offices and see if someone can actually do something to help fix this mess we are in - or explain to us how they could cancel part of our contract on the grounds that there is outstanding bill that we are actually paying in installment as agreed. To make matters worse, when I called two weeks ago they said I would not be receiving any bills until next month (hopefully time enough to sort this mess out) - a few days later we received the letter of part termination. They have caused us such a stress and it is such a waste of time and energy! We will be relieved to leave them as soon as we are able and we feel we have been unfairly treated despite being private clients. We deeply regret our decision to move to GM

Accident not recognised

I had a negative experience with this employer's insurance because of an accident I had. The insurance company did not want to recognise the accident as such despite medical details and a description of the event. I do not recommend this insurance.

This insurance company is to be…

This insurance company is to be avoided. They have the worst client service, provide you with false information so that they don't have to reimburse you (we had several incidents) and they don't follow up on issues that the client experiences.

My experience with Group Mutuelles…

My experience with Group Mutuelles insurance was rather disappointing .Unfortunatly, they struggled with the enrollement process and mistakenly accused me of seeking care else where. Despite my attempts to adress these issues with their custoner service ,i found them to be unhelpful.Regrettably, i'll be exploring other options next year!!

Whats the point in paying these guys…

Whats the point in paying these guys monthly premiums, when they don't cover any of your medical costs and expenses? The add on policies are also a joke and only contribute to making the monthly costs higher whilst providing no help for reimbursements one has made from one's own pocket.

Everything for selling insurances, even lying is on the plate

Asked for an offer after they called me. On the online form there was a button "confirmation" to sned an offer request. I was on the line with the guy from Groupe Mutuel and implicitely asked if this button only for the offer, not an insurance conformation (he said it's only for the offer)... Instead of giving an offer, they sent a confirmation of the insurance with invoices. After I said I do not want they services, and canceled the insurance, never get a confirmation about the cancelation. I called, sent email, post, no answer. The guy I was in contact with promissed to send the confirmation, over the phone, but never did.
Never ever even want to hear about them in the future!
