Avoid

Sent a product back over 2 weeks ago. Only know they received the item back cause we got hold of them. Since then radio silent, no update. Multiple emails sent. Phone lines aways out of action and no refund. Awful company. Editing reply due to company replying quicker to a bad review then their emails and phone lines. It was through my partner Invoice number 302452

2 New Light fittings…

Just purchased an 8 arm fitting and a 6 light bar type fitting, a small issue cropped up on the bar fitting, but the service and attention given to resolving the issue was just brilliant. Communications during the time to sort it out were spot on. I ended up being one very satisfied customer.

Have they gone into administration??

Have they gone into administration??

I ordered products on 26th November 2025, chased them a month later and was advised they will not arrive until end of January 2026. I requested to cancel the order and was advised I would get a refun in 5 working days.

No refund a month later, and I have been emailing and leaving messages. No response as yet.

I cannot recommend this company and would be wary to order.

Not sure if this business is still operating…

Placed an order on the 16th of December (Order Reference: 83295 (WEB83295).
I’ve heard nothing since our order confirmation on 16/12/25. we have sent multiple emails left voicemails and the telephone system only allows for voicemails. I’m not sure if this company is closed down doesn’t seem like it’s operating therefore I would suggest it would be safer to purchase products elsewhere.

Avoid like the plague!!

Placed an order for a £125 light 5 weeks ago and it's not even been dispatched yet! Was assured it would be dispatched last week, yet still nothing!

Avoid them like the plague - total scam set up!

Beware of this company

This has turned into a nightmare.

I placed an order having first enquired about delivery time as I needed the light by a certain day because I was going away. I made it very clear that I needed it by that date. Not only did they fail to deliver but now are refusing to refund my money in a safe way.

TLC insisted on my paying by BACS transfer when I wanted to pay by card. Agreeing to this was a big mistake. See below.

I did not hear anything so chased and was told that the light would be despatched the following week. I responded to repeat that it had to arrive by the following Wednesday, as I had already made clear.

By Tuesday I had heard nothing more so emailed cancelling the order as it was obviously not going to arrive the following day. However, they don’t read emails and on Wednesday I received an email saying the light had been despatched for delivery on the Thursday!

I rang and they were able to undespatch it but then the real nightmare began as they are insisting on my sending them my bank details which is not a safe practice. I have supplied secure links to my bank account and also told them I will accept a cheque but they just don’t seem to get it.

Very poor customer service, unsafe business practices, most unprofessional and an impasse which looks like it may end up in the small claims court.

A real waste of my time, not to mention my money.

Charming staff

Charming staff. Knowledgeable, honest and great customer service.
I have frequented this shops several times with different lighting questions and problems and they’ve always helped me find a solution.

BEAU table lamp

I purchased the BEAU adjustable table lamp in an antique brass finish. It arrived very well packed and in a timely fashion. The quality is excellent and I'm delighted with it.

We smashed a shade on our light fitting…

We smashed a shade on our light fitting & thought we needed the complete unit, then ordered the wrong 1! On contacting The Lighting Company for advice they cancelled our original order & advised us we only needed to buy the shade & refunded the difference. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic company to deal with.

Worse telephone answering service

Worse telephone answering service. You get a msg saying that you are 1st in line. Wait for 20 mns and get the same msg... No one ever answers. A real put off to deal with this company.

Happy customer

Recently used The Lighting Company for some downlights in my fabulous extension: new kitchen/family space. Went for antique brass finish & very happy with the lights. Delivery was quick and excellent customer service/after service. Would recommend.

Fantastic customer service/care.

We purchased 4 lights and bulbs from The Lighting Company but had recurring problems with the bulbs. Each time I have contacted the customer care/service department, the faulty bulbs have been replaced quickly.
I have recently contacted TLC about one of the bulbs and Lynn, from the sales department responded promptly and her friendly, helpful service has been impressive. Replacement bulbs are being issued. I can only recommend this company in the highest terms for their after sales care and attention.

A company that really dont care about their customers

I was so thrilled with my first order i ordered again. Then the experience was/is bad. Never received my second table lamp. Emailed a number of times to ask where it was but never got a reply. Asked for my money back but again they never replied back. Im in the process of taking my complaint further. I would be careful ordering from this company as i have not received my lamp neither my refund and they dont seem to even care.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, I ordered some lights one was not in stock they immediately notified me and gave me an alternative option, I decided to wait till the light i wanted was back in stock. When it arrived it had some damage, it was replaced 2 days later with the damage one collected at the same time. No arguing no hastle, quick communication. Very good customer service and would recommend the company to anyone.
