I’ve been with UNUM for many years via the RBS company retired scheme.
Been frustrated many times with their claim system when trivial reasons have delayed payment.
The latest is I submitted a Statement of Account from my dentist confirming payment but it was rejected because it wasn’t a “receipt”! Surely anyone with half a brain should be able to work out that a Statement of Account showing a zero balance means the treatment has been paid for.
Complained to UNUM who accepted they were wrong but only after contacting my dentist to confirm payment had been made, strongly implying they didn’t trust me and thought I was capable of committing fraud!
Something similar occurred a while back when a MS Word document, that contained PNG images of all claim documentation including a receipt, was rejected because I was told the images could have been doctored. Which isn’t the case and again implies I could be committing fraud.
I’m paying £70 per month to cover my wife and me and to add insult to injury recently I was reimbursed just £25 for a panoral x-ray that cost £165!
I’ve had doubts about UNUM for some time and am currently scanning the internet to identify the best dental insurance providers with the intention of switching when my current policy ends.

Engineer professional and conscientious.
Only disappointment, I was told the cable would have to enter the house by my modem, which is positioned in the middle of my home. This necessitated the cable being secured across the front of my house, through my garage and 2 internal walls then under my stairs.
Subsequently, I was told my modem could have been moved to the front reception room and life would have been much easier for the engineer and me!
The engineer had a plethora of tools and accessories but I think a handheld vacuum cleaner would be a great addition!

Poor Quality
Bought a pair of Kurt Geiger deck shoes via Shoeaholics.
Leather laces broke after 5/6 wears.
Inner sole came out and never refitted properly making wearing uncomfortable.
Leather colour faded unevenly and the final straw was the stitching coming undone.
The worst pair of shoes I’ve bought in over 60 years of buying shoes.
Returned to Shoeaholics and got a full refund.
I’ll never buy another pair of Kurt Geiger shoes.
Only positive: Shoeaholics post sales support has been excellent.

Fortunately, my credit card company notified me of the transaction and I unsubscribed.

Review of Octopus Energy
Prior to switching to a new Fixed Tariff contract in October 2024, each month I was emailed a link to my Octopus bill that contained Gas and Electricity usage and charges.
Post the switch, my monthly email linked to an Octopus bill showing ELECTRICITY ONLY. I didn’t pick this up until February 2025.
After making contact with Octopus it was established that each month Octopus were producing 2 bills ie one for Gas and another for Electricity but only emailing me links for the latter.
I’ve requested they return to producing a single bill with both Gas and Electricity details present.

My wife and I have purchased several cards from Moonpig.
Generally happy but a major issue is when buying A4 or above size cards they do not arrive in an envelope marked “Do Not Bend”. As a result, cards have been damaged when forced by the postman through a too small letterbox!
This can be easily resolved by printing “Do Not Bend” on ALL ENVELOPES, but for some reason it’s something Moonpig has failed to implement.

Discount misleading and only available if “extras” ordered.
Checkout process to complicated by your attempt to sell “extras”.
Would like the option to include on the delivery envelope “Do Not Bend” when ordering A5 card (based on previous experience the only chance of the card not being forced through my letter box is if the postie rings the bell).
I buy for convenience from Moonpig but I don’t think the process is particularly user friendly!

The choice and creation process okay but this is the 2nd time I’ve received an A4 card in an envelope NOT LABELLED/MARKED “DO NOT BEND”.
Last time the card was damaged when the postman forced it through the letterbox, fortunately this time I intercepted the delivery to prevent the card suffering the same fate.
A serious Moonpig deficiency and one that can be easily avoided!

When adding a photo to the card the "adjust" feature is limited, not allowing a corner to be grabbed and pulled diagonally to reduce the size. I had to keep cropping on my PC then returning to Moonpig. Poor.
The checkout process of automatically adding the £9.99 and £18.00 Moonpig options is devious! These should be offered as options to be added and not automatically set. Took a little while to remove.
Last but not least, my A4 card arrived in an envelope NOT MARKED "DO NOT BEND" which resulted in it being forced through a standard letter box and damaged. Poor on behalf of Moonpig and the Royal Mail.
I've photos I'd like to add to this review to show the damage but unfortunately Trustpilot doesn't offer that option.

Review of Autoglass®
Screen fitted but technician not able to complete the recalibaration. Had to sit in reception for 2 hours waiting for the problem to be resolved (which it wasn't).
Technician told me he would contact Autoglass Head Office who would liaise with Honda to arrange for them to complete the recalibration.
Coincidently, I took my car in for it's annual service 2 days later and, after much toing and froing, established Autoglass hadn't contacted Honda and I would have to pay for the recalibration myself!
I spoke to an Autoglass customer service agent, who was very helpful, around 9:00am. But after several attempts she was unable to arrange for Honda to be paid on the day of the service and I was without my car (I don't have a 2nd one) for 24 hours.
Massively unimpressed by the Autoglass post work service!

I’ve used before and was happy but very disappointed with my recent experiences e.g. I ordered a pair of Calvin Klein trousers size 38/L. When they arrived they were too large because the actual waist was 40 inches. I returned with a note and a picture proving the size was not as advertised. I was refunded the cost and my original postage but not my return postage.
This is the 2nd time it’s happened which means I’ve it’s cost me £7.05 for NOTHING!
Very disappointed.
