Ordered several items fir click and collect. Received ‘ready to collect’ email only half an hour later. On collection, staff were very efficient and friendly.

Prompt turnaround. Goods were dispatched quickly and delivered two days after order. Pleased that company used APC couriers, had good communication and delivery driver offered to lift parcel inside.

Arrived on time. Helpful driver offered to lift box into hall.

Driver didn't bother to check if anyone home. Email received saying it was delivered to a safe place.

Please leave the item in the SAFE PLACE. The safe place is very easy to see, behind a door with a small bolt on the outside. DO NOT leave the item in full view dumped on a mat in an OPEN PORCH.
PLEASE RING THE BELL to alert the householder! The bell is very obvious. Please WAIT to see if someone is home.

Great customer service. I emailed to notify JR that the mixed poultry pack of patés did not contain turkey, and they immediately apologised and sent out four turkey patés. Friendly and personalised interaction.

Should not be forced to download an app in order to view tickets. My phone is not able to do that.

Ordered two portaloos and chose 'click and collect' as free. Order was processed quickly and was 'ready to collect' within two days. Have marked down one star because was bombarded with text messages reminding me to collect the order for a few days after I had actually collected. Also, rather crazy that if I had opted to have home delivery it would have been by DHL and would have incurred a charge, but the item was delivered to the store by DHL anyway. Would have been better for the planet if it had been delivered straight to me!

Great value. I always check the content of the material, so am picky about what I order, but have had some really good quality, unusual bargains. Speedy despatch, delivery by Royal Mail, so no messing about with unreliable couriers.

Excellent quality product.
Saw this touch sensitive light at a friend’s. Bought two, ideal for use on our narrowboat where it is easiest to recharge things via USB connection. Order was dispatched by Auraglow within 24 hours. Received within a couple of days, even with free delivery.

Excellent products. The pate is perfect for grating and slicing, then freezing for stuffing in the end of Kongs. Even with a postal strike the order arrived promptly.

Today's delivery was clearly labelled '1 of 2' packages, 19kg, and only one package was delivered (weighing a few grams). I queried it as was expecting a large box but only one item on board.
No problem with our local driver Maninder, he is very polite.

The turkey pate is excellent for grating up. Freeze or fridge and scatter as ‘find it’ treats, or use in Kong toys. Really good quality, the braided lamb treats too.

Sent sunflowers to cheer up a friend. They arrived in bud and three days later opened perfectly. She sent a photo when they opened up and they were beautiful.

My heart sinks if I see that an order is (supposedly) being sent via Hermes.

As the package arrived the day after I went away, I have no idea who the courier was so I cannot speak about them personally.
It may not be the fault of the individual courier, but Hermes let me down (again).
I had specified a day for delivery and waited in all day. I had no communication from Hermes (or the sender incidentally who I contacted three times). The parcel arrived three days later, after I had already run out of the meds it contained, and when I had already gone away. This meant it had to be left in my porch when the house was empty, very unsatisfactory.
I had no communication from Hermes. The tracking site provided showed 'in transit' during the day the parcel should have arrived, then 'delivery attempted' (not true), then it showed 'no access to the address' (with no reason why and extremely unlikely)

*Please note:
I was in all day.
There were no roads closed.
No neighbours tried to run the driver off the road.
*These are all excuses Hermes have used in the past when delivery has not been made, none of them true.

I would like to give 3 and a half stars really. It’s not quite. “great” as being forced to use facial recognition was a real pain and caused more than a “little friction”. I dread having to use it to log in, in future, as I suspect I will have a lot of friction in future.

Excellent service. Very prompt, order delivered two days ahead of estimated schedule.
