I bought a Chris Boardman Road bike less than a year ago from the Lancaster Store. I have rode the bike in dry weather over the year but could not get used to it at all. I brought it into Halfords where one of the assistants and the manager gave it the once over. They offered me a trade in price of £475 subject to a moisture check which was booked in for the 25/8/25 at the Lancaster store for 1000. After this check I was then offered £20 recycle value by the technician due to some small scratches (from the lock) on the crossbar, chain and tyre wear! On speaking to the assistant during the earlier exchange, I found it very wierd that the manager would not speak directly to me but through the assistant only who was a yard in front of him. He spoke out of the corner of his mouth in a whisper so I could not hear. Thought for a moment I was dealing with the Mariposa not some kid/manager at Halfords.
Absolutely disgraceful and a complete waste of time, I will have nothing further to do with this condition
