Poor customer service experience

I obtained a quote to insure my car for a track day. It was competetive but I had a couple of questions for them. I called them first thing Monday and spoke to a young man who said he didnt have "the system" to manage my query and that nobody else was available. He suggested that I replied to the quote asking for someone to call me back. 96 hours later I have yet to hear from them, Needless to say I insured my car with someone else!

Two letters to SW17 delayed unacceptably

I have used the online postage service that creates a label to place on your envelope on a number of occasions now. Using the collection service via our own Postie and the usual letterbox.

On both occasions when sending an item to SW17. Once via the collection by the Postie and once via a post box in town. The first item took over ten days to be delivered, and the second after 6 working days has still to be delivered.

As all the other letters have arrived satisfactorily, I can only assume there is an issue with the postal service in London handling these "new" labels. I wont be using the service again, despite the convenience.

Review of Rains

Poorest customer service ever !! zero stars!

Returned a coat that was too small.. The coat had to be returned to Denmark (which was a suprise to me, and could not be returned to a UK store).
As per Rains instructions we used Royal Mail to return the parcel. This is now stuck in customs, according to the Postnord (Danish post office) they have contacted Rains re a potenital customs charge. Rains are not responding. After two phone calls to which they deny any responsibility and two unaswered emails (they had the nerve to send a message asking how they had done!) The coat still appears to be in customs and no refund forthcoming. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIER SITE as the cutomer service is the worse I have come across.

Update 4/11. Danish customs have not allowed the return to go on to Rains. Rains have ignored the messages from the local customs office. And as you can see from their response deny all responsibility. Claiming ignorance of any contact from me, Postnord and the customs office. I have no idea where the coat is now and of course am £105 out of pocket. Lesson learned. Please think about purchasing anything via their website

If you have purchased an item online on rains.com, you cannot return it in one of our Rains stores, as our retail stores are partners. You can do an exchange in one of our stores for another product.

If you choose your own return method, you will bear the cost of the return yourself including the extra taxes and cost there might occur. You will be kept responisble for any lost parcel, as we cannot track it down for you, as you haven't used our services.

We will process the refund as soon as we receive it at our warehouse.

Easy to order

Easy to order, much better price than the local company I have been using for years and delivered earlier than expected, the driver was courteous and even shut the garage door behind him. Top stuff! Thank you
