The bill still needs to pass the Senate and then either be signed into law by President Trump… or have a veto overridden by 2/3rds of each house of Congress.
Trump — who has already been implicated by the portion of the files already released to the public — reversed course over the weekend and started supporting the bill after lobbying against it for months. The change came after it was clear that the bill had the votes to pass.
