Wouldn't refund item they let me return without warnings

Ordered swimming shorts through Lovethesales.com, and sale on bank was to lovethesales. Returned the item using their return portal on the lovethesales website with there return label created, with no issues. After a couple of weeks I chased where the refund was, and was advised the retailer they used for that particular item does not refund for swimming shorts due to hygiene. I objected and they said to chase retailer through bank to get money back. I told them that they gave me the option to return with no detail I couldn't return it. Also asking me to claim money back to my card from the particular retailer is not possible as the transaction was with lovethesales as per my bank statement. They just said they cannot refund as issue is between me and the retailer. Also nobody sent back the item (that technically I own) or asked me what I want to happen with it alternatively. Don't buy swimming shorts from them as they could be returned ones they won't refund or send back to customer and have hygiene issues. Bad experience all round with a company I have spent alot of money with and this was a smaller transaction with clear signs of my good intentions. Order WEB36763

We do apologise for your recent experience and we have taken a look into the correspondence for you.

We can see the retailer does not offer a returns label and this is created on the Royal Mail website and so this would have allowed you to create the label as it does not identify the particular product that is being returned.

As advised, swimwear is non returnable due to hygiene reasons which is stated in the Returns Policy. The retailer has advised they are returning the item back to you.

We do apologise for the inconvenience and any confusion caused.

Bought several pairs of boots for my…

Bought several pairs of boots for my son aged 6 as he is not confident going into the stores but had his first football match he was nervous and excited about. Bought the boots in store, three pairs the same size. Nobody said anything that they only give credit note not a refund when I said it was for my son to try on different ones. Law is they can do that, but no stores do that , like ‘if this is for one person this is our process’ as clearly buying for same size person in different boots. Went to return and told only offer credit note. No clear explanation of that when you buy abd take this away your only option credit note, just a sign that does not explain it well I.e you will not get a refund in store. My boys first ever football match and experience of choosing his first football boots ruined. Will never buy from them again and will pass on the message to the rest of the club

Unfortunately no option for zero stars

Unfortunately no option for zero stars. Massive delay in sending item, then posted on trustpilot so they sent the wrong size and colour, and now waiting for over 2 weeks for promised refund, and only way to get a response from ‘Chris’ is by posting on trustpilot which is also wrong. Please give me back my money plasticsheets after over a month of my order not being honoured. If you respond to this review, then confirm when my refund will happen as you don’t when I ask on email. That is all I ask

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, had to chase numerous times over 2 weeks for order and only poor trust pilot review prompted a response, with promise of delivery fee refund. Order arrived one of two sheets wrong size and colour. Now radio silence from original email contact on both delivery fee and wrong order sent.

No updates on order places 2 weeks ago

Order placed on 14th and no update so chased through the contact us section and recieved a reply on 22rd October that they will look into it. Heard nothing since by the 28th October, with no tracking information. Poor service.

Horrendous chat service

Horrendous chat service, keep in getting fobbed off with issue and keep telling me they understand my frustration. Gave them proof of return number, proof of previous chat what they told me to do, proof of postage but then say they need to investigate, abd somebody will get back to me in working days 15 working days ago. Oh and can’t raise a complaint

Getting a refund for costly return

Paid £4.99 to return item through their service and had to chase a week later as no notification they received the item. confirmed had it, but still waiting for monies 11 days later. They say it can take between 7-10 working days which is quite shocking in this modern day technology.

My order was wrong a I provided evidence that items in my order were wrong and inedible, but Ubereats said that even though they have not provided me with the food I ordered and paid for they couldn’t refund it??? Then when I argued I got constant generic replies not telling me why they won’t refund.

Never placed order and no help

I had an account I have never used and browsed menus when received a 60% discount code. Kept telling me a recommended menu which I continuously deleted and put what I thought was 4 menu I liked into checkout. Had to re-activate account to apply code. Applied code and didn’t work and went to a 30% discount. Shut down iPad as lost interest. Then overnight got a confirmation off PayPal of a hello fresh payment. Looked at hello fresh and on 8th jan and order was due for delivery on 14th and menu was menus I deleted as didn’t like. Emailed first thing on Monday and no reply so called Tuesday and they said nothing they could do. I explained I never ordered and they said too late. I explained I even deleted these items as would never order them (recommended menu including lentils and I’ve never eaten lentils in my life). Asked for investigation and it was ignored, asked cancel told to late even though requested cancellation on Monday for Sunday delivery. Said I’ll send back the box told still be charged. Horrible customer service, no complaint logged. Cancelled it at PayPal as thought it was fraudulent but hello fresh said I’ll still owe them the money for a box I never ordered or wanted and can’t return. Also no confirmation email of order on the Sunday when I was meant to have ordered so I could of rung up within minutes. Never will use again.

Add further following this review they still refused to budge over approx £15 and no not answer the issue of no confirmation email within the period I could cancel and now fully aware it’s being sent to the wrong address ( even though yodel haven’t received the package yet but can’t change). Will not help customers or answer points raised, only answer is ‘you ordered’ and ‘can’t cancel or do anything further as with 5 days so unable to cancel’. I was offered a bit more discount though on an order I never ordered, of recipes I don’t even like, being sent to an address I don’t live at all because I never got a ‘please check details and confirm order’ so entirely my fault.

I tried to cancel the order a few hours…

I tried to cancel the order a few hours after I ordered but it couldn’t be even though it wasn’t dispatched until the day after I requested it be cancelled. Now sitting in a Royal Mail depot somewhere as I’m away and short of £100 until Royal Mail return to sender.
