The Seventh Moon are a Japanese criminal organisation led by Yamato.
To make this page easier to read, Yamato (the playable hero) is referred to by her real name: Kaori.
Summary[edit | edit source]
The Seventh Moon was once a powerful crime family in Japan, led by siblings Kaori and Yamato. The two siblings were born into power, and took over the organisation once their father died. With Yamato's dreams of expanding the Seventh Moon to the United States, the two siblings made a plan where Kaori would stay in Japan while Yamato would set up an international presence in America. However, several insecure underlings disliked the idea of being led by Kaori in Japan. This resulted in a brutal coup, where Yamato sacrificed himself to ensure Kaori and a small group of loyalists could escape to America. With a fraction of the power she once held, Kaori took up her brother's name and committed herself to rebuilding the Seventh Moon's might in America.[1]
The strength of the Seventh Moon is a fraction of the power it once held in Japan. While the status of the Seventh Moon in Japan is unknown, it's implied to have been dismantled.[2]
Kaori's wish in the ritual is to make the Seventh Moon powerful enough to control New York.[3][4]
Kaori intends to challenge the other criminal organisations in New York in the Seventh Moon's rise to power.[5] She is grateful to Ivy for dismantling the Mendoza Syndicate[6] and sees Wraith as her final hurdle to conquering New York.[7]
The Seventh Moon are small enough for the OSIC to not bother allocating resources to dismantle the gang, but they are keeping an eye on things in case the Seventh Moon gets too strong.[8][9]

Yamato: The Brother[edit | edit source]
Kaori's brother Yamato (not to be confused with the playable Yamato) was one of the co-leaders of the Seventh Moon before he lost his life saving Kaori from a coup. The goal of expanding the Seventh Moon to America was Yamato's dream.[1][10]
Kaori's ultimate ability (Shadow Transformation) is Kaori infusing Yamato's shadow soul with herself.[11][12]
According to Kaori, Yamato had a "useless" body guard.[13]
