December 16, 2025

  • Trooper bounty reduced by 12%
  • Medic orbs now heals allied troopers 30% more
  • Medic orbs regen on allied troopers is now applied over 8s instead of 2s
  • Medic Trooper HP increased from 260 to 350 (default trooper is 300)
  • Medic Trooper DPS vs other troopers increased from 35 to 45 (default trooper is 35)
  • Medic Troopers attack range vs troopers and players increased by +5m over the default
  • Medic Pack pickup range scales from 18m->26m to 18m->30m (over the same time period, 10min to 18min)

November 27, 2025

  • Medic Pack now heal amounts increased by 2x
  • Medic Pack heal now splits its value evenly based on the number of nearby heroes (so 1 hero is 100%, 2 heroes is 50%, 3 heroes is 33%, etc. Other nearby units also get the reduced values.)
  • Medic Pack regen applied over 2s instead of 1s
  • Medic Pack ally search radius from 30 to 35
  • Medic Pack pickup range scales after 10 minutes (similar to the expiry duration), from 18m at 10 minutes scaling up by 1m per minute up to 26m range.

  • Trooper bounty mechanics have been reworked. The first half of the souls still fly out as deniable orb, however rather than the other half being instantly given to nearby players it will fall to the ground as an orb that you need to get near to pick up. It has a 18m capture radius where it'll travel to you once you get within. Only one player needs to claim it, share rules remain the same as before.
  • They last for 18s on the ground. Duration increases by 2s per minute up to 40s after 10 minutes.
  • Enemy orbs are visible as faint colorless soul orbs to your team, but cannot be claimed.
  • Amount of souls in the flying orb that can be secured/denied reduced from 50% to 40%
  • Very small tweaks to the secure/deny lag calculation to improve it
  • Increased trooper range to be considered in range for souls to drop from 35m to 45m
  • Medic troopers no longer have a passive healing pulse ability
  • Medic troopers now drop a medic pack when you kill them. Has same pickup range/duration mechanics as the soul orbs on the ground. Heals everyone in a 30m radius for 10% of their missing health as well as 75 plus 2 per minute game time.
  • Trooper bounty values increased by 10%
  • Trooper bounty split ratios updated from 1/0.65/0.28/0.15/0.12/0.08 to 1/0.54/0.36/0.25/0.2/0.16
  • After 35 minutes all troopers gain +50% HP.

July 29, 2025

  • After 20 minutes, trooper spawn time is reduced from 30s to 25s.
  • Trooper bounty growth reduced from 1.5 to 1.2.
  • Trooper ally split updated from 100/65/30/20/15/11% to 100/65/28/15/12/8%.
  • Trooper: Walk speed increased from 6.1 to 6.3.
  • Trooper: Run speed increased from 11 to 13.

  • Trooper base bounty reduced from 132 to 120
  • Trooper bounty growth per minute increased from 1 to 1.5
  • Trooper damage to Walkers reduced from 80 DPS to 60 DPS
  • Fixed some issues with hitting troopers while on ziplines

  • Trooper resistance near base reduced from 40% to 35%.

  • Troopers will now only flinch from player damage if it is a headshot while the trooper is busy running.
  • Trooper resistance near base reduced from 50% to 40%.

  • Troopers now gain 50% resistance when they are in near the base (this has been 30% the past few days).
  • Walkers resistance vs troopers reaches -40% at 20 minutes instead of 16 minutes

[ General ]

  • Soul Orbs no longer have special duplication rules before 8 minutes. Soul splitting rules are now the same before 8 minutes as afterwards. Adjusted trooper economy to compensate. There is also no longer a bounty bump that occurs at 8 minutes.
  • Wave interval increased from 25s to 30s (bounty values adjusted by the same ratio).
  • Players can no longer Parry troopers.
  • Medic Trooper: Heal no longer has charges (was 3).
  • Medic Trooper: Cooldown reduced from 35s to 6s (this was the previous setup before).
  • Medic Trooper: Fixed healing sometimes not functioning on bounce when there are walls nearby.
  • Troopers will no longer aggro to you when you shoot them while they are attacking a Guardian.

[ Trooper AI Fixes ]

  • Melee troopers will no longer see and follow players around corners and through veils.
  • Smoothed out trooper navigation in some spots of the map where they need to drop down.
  • Troopers that are attacking shrines are no longer distracted from their task by distant enemy troopers.
  • Troopers now know to cross the base and attack the other shrine once their near one is defeated.
  • Fixed a bug where troopers would rapidly change targets when multiple enemies are in range.
  • Fixed a bug where troopers would fidget with their facing direction when walking without a target.
  • Fixed a bug where troopers would fear really steep stairs.
  • Fixed a bug where troopers would flash their targeting flare at the targeted player every time they came into camera or line of sight.

[ Soul Orb Mechanics ]

  • Troopers no longer need to be last hit by a player in order to generate souls, as long as you are nearby. Troopers no longer have the "near death" flashing behavior.
  • Soul Orb lifetime in the air reduced significantly.
  • Soul Orb denies changed from 65/35% to 50/50%.
  • Soul Orb physical radius increased by 10%.
  • Reduced horizontal movement of soul orbs from troopers.

[ Misc Gameplay Changes ]

  • Increased post-laning trooper bounty to match the previous 4 lane global economy.

  • Shooting a trooper on a zipline now causes other troopers near it on the zipline to dismount as well
  • Reverted: - Troopers now do 20% more damage to each other

  • Mid Boss trooper health for first spawn reduced from 95% to 70%.
  • Trooper Spirit Resist at 25 minutes reduced from 30% to 20% (still scales to 70% at 50 minutes).
  • Trooper soul changed from 60/40% in the kill/orb to 65/35%.
  • Medic Trooper now has 3 charges of heal rather than 2.

  • Fixed some cases where troopers could get stuck in the base.
  • Troopers no longer change soul sharing rules after laning phase ends (meaning 2 heroes don't split souls).

  • Troopers Spirit resist goes to 30% instead of 40% at 25 minutes.

October 24, 2024

  • Trooper Soul Orbs now have a 90ms buffer to allow the server to do better calculations on who shot the orb first, to minimize latency advantages for denying.
  • Trooper soul changed from 50/50% in the kill/orb to 60/40%.
  • Medic Trooper heal now has 2 charges; time between casts is 6s (does not consume a charge when healing other troopers, mainly affects waves pushing on their own).
  • Medic Trooper heal cooldown increased from 6s to 35s.
  • Troopers now gain +40% Spirit Resist gradually over 25 minutes, goes to 70% at 50 minutes.
  • Backdoor protection detection range for troopers increased (harder to kill troopers approaching the objectives with long range spells to stall making the game think you are backdooring when you aren't).
  • Backdoor protection removal now has a 20s buffer (so it doesn't go into protection mode immediately once creeps die).
  • Walkers now have resist vs troopers starting at 60% and ending at -30% at 14 minutes.
  • Guardian resist vs troopers changed from starting at 70% and ending at -30% at 10 min to starting at 60% and ending at -35% at 8 minutes.

October 10, 2024

  • Fixed troopers being unreliable to shoot while on the zipline.
  • Adjusted Trooper tracer and muzzle effects for better alignment and lower visual noise.
  • Trooper death effects resolve quicker and more cleanly.
  • Troopers attack range vs Lane Guardians reduced from 13.5m to 12m (they get closer to it).
  • Guardians now take 70% less damage from troopers at the start of the game; this reduces by 10% per minute (max at +30% increased damage at 10 min).
  • Trooper spawn/bounty lane end time changed from 10 min to 8 min.
  • Shields no longer reduce damage or get depleted by NPC units (Troopers, Bosses etc, but still takes damage from player summoned units).
  • Bebop: Grapple Arm now also hits enemy troopers, killing them instantly.
  • McGinnis: Mini Turret damage reduction against troopers/neutrals increased from -40% to -50%.

September 26, 2024

  • Trooper share radius reduced (from allied hero to allied hero 50m->40m, from orb to allied hero 40m->35m)
  • Reverted recent creep sharing duplication changes (back to how it was over a week ago, we want to see if it's still an issue with the other changes in this patch)

September 19, 2024

  • Replaced the recent soul duplication hotfix with new behavior. Pre 10 min, lanes now always split orbs when there are more heroes than the assigned participants for that lane (3+ people in a dual lane, 2+ people in a solo). Previously it only split with 3+ people regardless of the lane, which is what allowed soul abuses when dipping into a solo lane.

  • Fixed players being able to exploit soul sharing across multiple lanes to earn more souls than intended. The way the fix is implemented is that each player can only be considered for an enemy trooper death event 4 times per wave number during the laning phase.
