"My daughter's breath in Gaza" 💔
People might hear about the ceasefire and think life has returned to normal, but the reality is different.
The smoke still hangs in the air, the smell is still suffocating, and people are still breathing the pain of the past days.
My little girl has a chest allergy, and since the fires and explosions, her chest can't take it anymore.
Every time the air changes or the smell of smoke rises from a burning place, she starts coughing violently, her face turns pale, and I run around trying to comfort her, opening and closing windows, not knowing where she can find safety.
A few days ago, she became very ill…She started having difficulty breathing, and her voice disappears with every cough, and my heart breaks seeing her like that.
We had to go to the hospital, and she was in my arms, clinging to my hand as if she was afraid she would lose her breath.
At the hospital, I saw the faces of mothers like us, little children connected to oxygen machines, all with the same problem… The smoke and polluted air spared no one.
Gaza today seems silent, but its pain is immense… Children are fighting to breathe, and mothers live every moment between fear and prayer.
And amidst all this pain, my daughter opens her eyes and smiles. At that moment, I feel that despite all the suffering, there is still hope, and God is still with us.
